'70, you're beginning to sound like a "Northsider".....The air park was the Downtown air park and it was on the south side of the River....East Side
    of Western.................

Correction. It was on the west side of western. Remember, your pocket
knife is in your left pocket, which is west, unless your going south then it's
    east.

Sorry, I meant the Pitch 'n Putt was on the East Side of Western. The bar was originally named The Corn Crib but later became known as the "Sunset" Club. I'll find out the name of the Miniature Golf place...give me time...

Have lived in Phx for 30 years. Grew up on s.w.32nd off of Agnew.
Haven't been on (and kept up w/ all of your "flashbacks"), but anyone remember "Louie's 29 Club" on sw29th? I believe it burned down when I was only a kid.
I remember my Mother hated the place since she was such a devout religious person.

The CAPITOL HILL ROCKIN' REUNION will happen on May 15, 2010 at Capitol Hill.

Come to the Kickoff Launch get together at the
GRILL ON THE HILL, Friday Sept 18, 2009 at 6:00pm
and find out more. We really want to have as many south side HS alums show up as possible.

Myself and some others have officially planned a Capitol Hill Rockin' Reunion for May 15, 2010.

We are doing this through the Capitol Hill Main Street program.

There will be a Hot Rod Car Show, A Motorcycle Show, Rock Bands both old and new, a Guitar Art Contest, food booths, and much more!!

I was hoping to have a web site address for you by this time but it's not done yet.

If you have any questions either come to the kickoff launch or ask them here.

I would also appreciate getting the addresses of other web sites that would also like to know about this event.

I will also be posting additional information here as it becomes available.

Yes, I came to one of your meetings at Coits. However, we were trying to have this event in Oct of this year but the Main Street people drug their feet and we ran out of time.

Yes, I will remind everyone next week. In addition we are hoping to have a large banner displayed in side the Grill On The Hill.

I know some of you southsiders remember that pumping unit out on Portland (I think) and S. of 89th we called the "Green Monster". We had some pretty wild "get togethers" out there back in my days on the southside.

Had some memorable "gang" fights out there. One turned tragic in '61.
