Is it really THAT Important folks how completely perfect the placement is in our made up renderings? It's just stuff for FUN.

Bomber, that's something I can agree with you on. Especially since someone is doing it for free and fun, its not like it's an official Devon rendering folks.
This thread is so veeeery long its hard from the last page to return to the immediately preceding one, at least for me. I see that this is page 42 (at least on my setup) but the last number the the page line at the bottom is 36.
How about splitting this threa, mods?
The tower's height is now estimated at 908 feet, consisting of a glass skin that would cover 16 football fields. The glass is designed to be transparent — and not like the reflective “mirror-like” facades used with office tower construction in the 1980s.

If this is true, we can't own Dallas, for tallest building. What happend to 925? Oh well at least we are getting a new skyscapper I guess.
Story update coming tomorrow.
Only 908 feet now?
OMG, it's 17 feet shorter!?!?!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Will it add the missing feet back?
shouldnt we cram this into the really long devon thread, since we talkin bout the height over there?
Nope. You'll want to keep this thread separate. Trust me.
Well it sucks we can't brag about one-upping Dallas anymore, but oh well. Still getting a 900'+ tower!
Don't Edmond My Downtown
WHAT?!?!?! 17 FEET SHORTER?!?! They might as well not even build it now! If they really do take 17 feet off the top, it's going to look ridiculous!! (sarcasm)
Doug, can I stand on your shoulders, we might could get to the 925 if I hold my arms up straight while standing on your shoulders.
I guess it won't be taller than the tallest skyscraper in Dallas after all.
Did I mention that all volunteers will be bronzed and will be frozen there for all time?
maybe it'll be fatter. that's something we're known for here.
8^)
