I've only ever taken the opportunity to gamble once in my life. Obviously been around it more since we passed the laws here but never played a machine (or anything else for that matter) in Oklahoma even though I voted for it.

The one time I played the slots was up at Ameristar in Kansas City. Played quarters and lost $80. Pretty sad. But my friend lost $20, but gained $160, so he made off better than me!

not always, but some houses are indeed tighter than others. Las Vegas didnt get to look the way it does by paying out generously.

Ive had the most luck in a little friendly southern city tucked across the Mississippi River called Tunica. Ive been there twice, one each time I went.
The breakfast buffet at Bally's is amazing.

The only Oklahoma casino Ive won at is Firelake Grand. On the reverse side of it, Ive had nothing but sour luck at both of the Chickasaw-owned Riverwind & Winstar (especially the latter)

What machines are known to be looser at Riverwind are usually occupied by players around the clock. Get up to use the restroom and your seat is gone if you were playing a reknown loose machine at Riverwind. Truth be told, there isnt too many of them at that casino.

Las Vegas is quite tight, both slots and tables, especially the southern end of the strip (which really isnt Las Vegas at all, per se, but actually Paradise, NV) Better luck is traditionally had around Fremont Street area casinos,.but that isnt really saying much, because luck still prevails, and more importantly, the house.

I usually take on the presumption of visiting Sin City for entertainment purposes, the great food, the nightlife, shows, etc...and resort to gaming for leisure purposes. If I win-I win. If I lose, I attempt to break even as much as possible before it attempts to break my bank. ha ha

I love the casinos, but I don't like losing money. I go to Dirtybird, the Grand, Sac n Fox, and rarely Riverwind.

Most hard core gamblers will tell you BJ is the game with the best odds. I only play slots and keno. The best I ever did was hit 5 jackpots in one month. The worst is I lost $1100 in one day.

I go to Vegas primarily for the escape and the shows. Don't play too much on the slots in Vegas. They are notoriously tight.

I have also worked in the casinos, and I enjoy people watching more than anything else. The Grand has a few good shows now and then.

Riverwind is nicknamed "Neverwin". Never really had much luck at ANY Indian Casinos, so I don't know why they are so busy. I've had better luck with phone card machines at bars than Indian Casinos. I usually donate $20 - $40 bucks to the Indians.

I think the indian casinos are busy primarily cause they are local. look at the plates in the parking lot, most of the ones you will see will be oklahoma tags. the only exception is at "Lose-far", about 95% of the plates in that parking lot are all Texas.

sams town tunica is my choice, i have been thre about 7 times so far, the most i have ever won there is $1,700 dollars, and it was in 150.00 to 300.00 wins on different machines, the keno machines pay back pretty good. I like tunica because of the games and the great food, last time i went i decided to go explore, the tunica queen and the river museum is a must see, plus there is a famous place that is home of the friend pickles called hollywood cafe, not the casino but a small old building in downtwon robinsonville ( which is where a lot of the casinos actually are).

We went to Tunica a couple years ago. I won like $140 on a penny machine, which I thought was fun!! Looking at brochures before hand, I seriously thought Tunica was much bigger than what it is...but it is a weirdly-laid out town structure...

thats what is abd about tunica there is i believe 9 casinos but spread out, to bad they are not in one area like a strip

my comment wasnt directed at the brochures you were referencing, but rather your observation of how Tunica is "laid-out" which is a stark contrast to Vegas' side-by-side casinos.

Oh. I was referring to the town itself. My opinion is that it is oddly laid out....

Hmmm....obviously I prefer Vegas. I have stayed at Bellagio, Paris, MGM, Harrah's......my favorite is MGM by far. (Although I am obsessed with Ceasar's sports book)

I have won and lost everywhere. I really have never had any luck in Louisiana, but have done well in Vegas (and bad) as well as the Winstar and Tunica.

It really all comes down to playing mistake free and confidence, for me at least. I am nto a high roller or anything, but I have gotten back on the plan before with the exact amount of money I came with after gambling for 4 days, shows, buffets, etc. I consider that a win.

I play blackjack for fun. It sucks to play in Oklahoma though where you have to pay 50 cents per hand. In vegas, some casinos have high minimums unless you go to somewhere like Circus Circus where the minimum is 3 dollars. I wonder what Atlantic City is like.

I went to the Hard Rock Casino in Tulsa on Monday night. Had been there once before about 4 years ago and it hasn't changed much other than the rebranding. I feel like there's a better selection of slots at Riverwind and Fire Lake.

My favorite one is Monopoly. It has great bonus rounds. Monday I put $12 in it and was up to $232 in fifteen minutes and cashed out. Then we went to the bar and had a drink.
