Its at 11800 S. May. Has anyone been by to check it out yet? OKC needs more gelaterias.

Well, I was brave and tried it today. Thumbs down for me. As the only customer in the place (a clue!), I expected the waitperson to be 'friendly,' but I apparently interrupted her watching a soap opera. My bad.
WAY over-priced, flavor, texture just so-so, serving size a real joke for the price, and "pastry" offerings just pathetic.
I won't return nor recommend...........but that's just me.
I say BLAH as well. went there once, won't go back again. it was nothing special. there is a good gelato place over off telephone rd that was decent. and yes the girl behind the counter was acting as if she had a million other better things to do than to serve us
teachergirl are you talking about Il Dolce Gelato in Moore? If so, that place is good.
What? Are you kidding me? That place has the best gelato in OKC metro! It is such a cute place too. The lattes and cappuccino are great and they have cinnamon rolls, muffins, bagels, turnovers & wonderful banana nut bread to go with it! My husband & I eat out every single day & we will definitely be back!
I was also very disappointed with Scotty. The gelato's were in my opinion very blah. The prices were also very high gelato's were for a large $4.19. The pastries selection was slim and that cost anywhere from $1.99-$2.99. And the service well, I agree the lady working there seemed very unwilling to take my order when I came in that day. I highly doubt I'll be back or refer my friends to go there. And you can tell from the pic there wasn't a rush.
I enjoy Lino's in Mustang.
Scotty Gelato... at least it's fun to say.
I haven't been, but it seems to be the consensus on this site that it's just blah. As far as price, $4.19 is not high for gelato, especially for a large. That is about standard or below standard. Heck, I was just in Fayetteville, AR a few weeks ago and the place we stopped at had there large around $8 bucks. When I was in San Diego, the smalls were about $5 (but amazing and had dozens of flavors, I had the Chocolate Grand Marnier, which was out of this world good.) Pastry price seems reasonable compared to most places in our metro, let alone in other metros. Price doesn't keep me from going to Scotty, but the reviews about poor service and quality of food doesn't make me want to go and I'm really trying to find a good gelato place in the metro, preferably in the inner city or downtown area.
yes, I've tried it, but it's prepackaged kind. I'm talking about a gelateria that makes fresh gelato. two totally different concepts.
