Glad you had fun. And I'm with you on bare steak. really good steak doesn't need a fru fru outfit, or a sauce.

Can anyone confirm whether the prix fixe menu is still going on at Red? Hot date tonight. Tuck?
Yes it is Mallen.
Thanks metro! Have the reservation for tonight for booth 7, per tuck's instructions above in the thread! We had Iron Starr last night...Cheever's last time we went on a "nice" date...Market C the first time I had her over for dinner....sheesh, we're like a Good Egg Couple!
It's okay, my wife and I have turned into Good Egg junkies too. Oh well, I know lots of young professional couples who are as well, join the club.
It's easy to do so with such great, unique offerings! Speaking of...
$35 Prixe Fixe menu is in full force, and will be for sometime. Thanks for the support guys!!
Had an amazing dinner. Booth 7 was a trip, it's definitely private! The sommelier introduced himself to us, which was above and beyond necessary and was very much appreciated. We did the prix fixe menu, I upgraded to the skirt steak and she had the filet. Both excellent, excellent.
Yet another great time at Red with zero nitpicks about the food. Tuck, it was just plain awesome. The pace of the meal was great, the food outstanding. Can't wait to get back!
Had the prix fixe menu on Monday night. Its hard to beat, great value. Now only if there was a fixed price alcohol menu...
can't beat the $3 appetizer specials at happy hour
I’m going to have to check out that happy hour!
I went to Red Prime for the first time (after hearing such great reviews) two weekends ago. We first got drinks. I asked for Chopin single on the rocks no garnish, and I swear it was like a quadruple and not a single, which is fine by me! The boyfriend ordered a Pinot Noir. Next, I ordered a salad and the pears were bruised, the greens were soggy and wilted, but the brie was tasty. (I doubt they make the brie in house though.) My boyfriend ordered the 40 day dry aged ribeye steak and said it was pretty good, but nothing compared to The Ranch Steak House (another 'upscale' steak house in OKC) I also ordered for my entree the slivered asparagus, (I don't eat meat except for seafood and fish) and it was the best asparagus I've ever had so, that was a plus. I also got the warm fudge spoon cake, it was mediocre. Just an over baked brownie with poor quality vanilla ice cream and a watery caramel sauce. Next time I'm going to just get the slivered asparagus and my Chopin Vodka on the rocks. Almost forgot to mention that our waiter was awesome! Definitely, the best service we've experienced in OKC.
I stopped by yesterday to check out the happy hour. I thought the bartender was going to be a jerk starting out. I ordered the tenderloin things and chips and he insisted that the tenderloin things were small and that I should order another appetizer. I was like, well, I want the chips too. I wasn’t really looking for a meal. I thought he was going to be snooty about me not ordering half the menu of appetizers, but he ended up being super nice and didn’t try to be rude at all. I am at a loss for why they only have Budweiser? I actually prefer craft beer and they do have several offerings of better beer, but I can’t believe they only have Bud for ‘domestic.’ The bartender showed me the menu and went over the price fix offerings and tried to sell me a meal. LOL The tenderloin things were pretty tasty, but those chips weren’t really as special as I thought they might be. If a special occasion comes up I may try that price fix menu deal sometime.
Can't be everything to everybody...we do our best.
