Default Neat Lego model of Downtown OKC

    Exerpt from article:
The giant Lego models of the Skirvin Hilton, Chase Tower, First National Tower and more were designed by Kurt Zimmerle, a certified master Lego builder from Wolverine, Mich. The fund-raiser for OKC Educare, a school being built in south Oklahoma City for at-risk children, started like many for Ross — with a pitch.

I would love to see a Lego reconstruction of the Crystal Bridge. I heard the Myriad Gardens is the biggest downtown area botanical gardens of any city in the U.S.

Yeah, it's really cool. Now, where would all of you like to see this displayed?

The lobby of 1st National since it's no longer roped off would be the perfect place, IMHO.

Ha, that was going to be my suggestion before I scrolled down and read your post. I totally agree, this is exactly where I'd like to see it. Choice #2 would be in a vacant canal front retail space in Bricktown.

It would be cool if they had that displayed at the grand opening of the Lego Store then displayed it at FNC. Leadership Square would be a good place too if in the right position.

On a sturdy plastic grid, floating on the river, above a large series of linked fuse burning M-80's, with high speed digital cameras shielded from effects of the blast so I can relive the moment over and over.

Sorry to be the debbie downer of the thread. I've stepped on way too many legos in my lifetime and don't like the lil' buggers, not even when they are, as here, very well put together.

Exactly how does one become a certified master Lego builder? They were my favoite toys growing up. I may have self-applied that title a few times. But, for a grown man? I don't know. I hope he has kids.

In order to become a Master Lego Builder, one must be employed by Lego Corporation, and be able to build a ball out of Legos that rolls smoothly on a surface. There are only 40 Master Builders in the world. Pretty amazing!

The exhibit will be located in Penn Square Mall from November 14 through January 3 and will be constructed of more than one million Lego bricks. I hope you all will come out and take a look-it is sure to be awe-inspiring. And of course, the beneficiary, OKC Educare, is a very worthy cause. Legos are probably a big reason of what I do now, they and Matchbox/Hot Wheels cars were my favorites.

There's a Lego Store in Anaheim, CA that has a life-size Lego giraffe in it. Pretty cool.

In Penn Square getting a Lego Store or did I just dream that up last night?

Nope, it is true...I just wish they would have located in the CBD...but I won't complain that we are getting unique retail that only 19 other states have...

So, is that what the Penn Square Lego Store will look like or is it already open?

EDIT: Nevermind, I see that they're not open yet and it's just a standard pic from the Lego site.

OKC Cityscape, in my interview with Bob Ross I was told Penn Square is a possibility, but the deal is not done yet and it could end up somewhere else.
