Does the New York Times still own KFOR? If so, they should sell it to someone who cares more about broadcasting than print media.
Easy solution:.....Buy a TV record Heroes and do the rest of your television watching on another channel....Or, Call the station and ask for the manager and find out. Griping on this thread isn't going to do anything. I went in and check my television....I get almost 300 channels scratch off KFOR and now I only get 299.......Way to go technology...Sheesh:.............
Sorry, a little off topic, but just watched 9 and 4's weather. Mike is calling for up to 2 inches of snow tomorrow, possibly more just nw of OKC, while Gary would only say light rain, maybe a little sleet. He did say he would have to look at it closer tonight.
How can 2 weather forecasts be so far from each other?
Don't want to pay for cable...so scratch Channel 4 off the list...I get almost 7 channels, no wait, it's 7 for sure. Calling the station won't do anything. TRUST ME. It's as useful as griping on here. Luckily though, tonight, I realized I actually have done business with the station manager so I sent him a personal email (not about the weather coverage), so I hope to hear back from him!
I read this entire feed and wondered.... "hmm, when's the last time I watched anything on NBC during primetime, let alone KFOR?" Now I have a reason to--because I'm sure everything that everyone lists is annoying!
One thing I do know0--KOCO and KWTV have the broadcast in high-def with the map of oklahoma over it--in basically the middle of the widescreen, in the corner of what would be the standard size. That's pretty annoying. Lol.
I was watching HD tonight and it looks like the weather map on KFOR is now HD, it doesn't crop the video down anymore
Good. One problem solved, now here's another: I can always tell when Channel 9 - Gary England's station - is about to break in with that annoying "BEEP BEEP BEEP" weather alert, because my closed captioning either hangs up or goes away about two minutes prior to their "interruption". I don't mind losing the close captioning - I'm getting a little too used to it anyway - but puh-lease lose that beep noise (it sounds kinda cheesy) and find a kinder, gentler way to get my attention!
(My suggestion: the opening notes of Chicago's "The Approaching Storm")
And then Grant Johnson figures that nobody enjoys the new map overlay so he decides to show the old map on the SD picture. GRANT, DO YOUR JOB AND JUST OVERLAY YOUR MAP ON THE HIGH DEF BROADCAST! What the hell is wrong with you guys??? I don't know. Maybe Mike will join this page and give me a whopper of an explanation!
Oh well pardon me Mr. 1,293 posts. All of which I'm sure were of Mr. Wizard status! Forgive me if my posts sometimes fall on deaf ears (pun intended). This isn't art so don't criticize what I have to say...
Little grammar fix for you--The people (in the programming department) DO this stuff.
FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT! See you guys at the flag pole!
I really think it's quite hysterical. Screen personalities teaming up together to bash down a lone poster. That I have to be the victim of this is pure stupidity. Like I care...
Dont worry about him guys he probally is a verly lonely and unhappy individual and will probabbly be banned at some point if he continues his attacks on people.
