I think one of the "Best Buys" in cars I ever made was in 1971 I bought a 1965 GTO...389w/ factory dual Quads, factory air and four speed for $ 500.00....I needed an extra car and my neighbor needed baby diapers....so we swapped....We drove that car for 3 years and then traded it for a Pick-up....Got $1,000.00 trade in at Williams / Kilpatrick Chevrolet out in the old Prairie field.....
[QUOTE=Generals64;211118]Man, you must have bought that car from Eleanor Kamber, never heard of a factory dual quad set-up on a 65 GTO!

Speaking of Maniac GTO's. Wasn't the '69 Judge available in other colors
besides orange? I'm thinking you could get it in any Pontiac color. Am I
nutz?

Still waiting on the call from '78...Hey I saw Johnny Overbay (Grant Graduate) at the car show today...Many old time memories...and, someone was wondering if he was still active with old cars...He said he was today. and, by the looks of th carhe was showing I would say he is....

Andy157 I 'm not for sure now. I'm not really any good at mechanics but it had a differnt type of Carbuerator than normal...Was ahrd driving ride though..My wife has always enjoy a quick car....And, she's spoiled...Everything from a Porsche to a BMW....Corvette....I had bought her a new Corvette Convertible and I was driving down the road when I looked up and saw Corvette convertible coming at me with a Balance beam sticking out of it...needless to say, I got a little excited about that and told her she needed something a little bit larger and not made of Fiberglass. Traded it to Larry Spencer for the first Impala SS to hit Oklahoma...Fast car.....Very fast car....She informed me that it was too large.....So, I bought her a 911 Targa....to small to carry a Balance Beam,,,She was a P.E. Teacher at the time....sheesh...she needs a n 18 wheeler for all she carries around....
barrett jackson is on for the next 3 days watch the prices of cars drop like a rock....good time to invest in some I would assume.
BJ's prices are out of line with the rest of the auctions, if you are looking for bargain opportunities you aren't going there or Pebble Beach during the Monterey Historics week.
