You know, I think every creek in OKC was named Lightning Creek. I lived off 47th and Independence in my growing up days...Or rather younger days....and the creek there ws called Lightning Creek. My wife off 47th and Agnew...Lightning Creek....Had a friend off 25th and Penn ...Lightning Creek....Another friend 30th and Robinson...Lightning Creek...Was there a number 1..2..3.. creek ????Maybe some of the map guys can tell us....But, Yes, I too am thankful I didn't know Lightning Creek was dangerous....I would have never gone Crawdad fishing down there cause they mioght have been bigger than what got away from the bacon and String....Hmmmmm?????
Well I know the one near me IS THE REAL ONE. From the North Canadian heading south it runs between Central and Shields. At Commerce it turns west of Shields towards Robinson and straightens (as best it can) and follows Santa Fe to 44th. S.W. 44 it starts moving westward and crosses Walker at about 57th. Still heading southwest it crosses 59th. From there I am not sure.
I play in Lightning Creek now.
Of course...its all concrete. -_-
Doesn't Capitol with an "O" designate a building and Capital with an "a" a City????? This is a question!! Give me an edu-ma-cation here!

This thread should be called "Capitol Hill High School... not forgotten except
by those who attended Capitol Hill High School."
Hey, did you know the band director, Mel Lee? I see him every week at the
university teaching French Horn students. He's a great guy and a great
teacher. Dr. Lee was my conducting teacher in college. He gives lessons
next door to my studio.
Even though we're now peers, I can't bear to call him by his first name.
If anyone on here went to Capitol Hill Jr High one of the classes is looking to interview a former student for a class project. Send a pm to me and I will give you the teacher's name and number. Papa OU didn't abandoned you.........had to do my Civic duty.............jury duty last week ........
