Thread: Restaurant Reco??

  1. Default Restaurant Reco??

My niece (11) is in town, and I'd like to take her and my mother to dinner tonight. I want to take her someplace halfway nice since she doesn't get a chance to do that very often. I'm thinking someplace where someone her age would be acceptable, obviously.

Something in-between Iron Starr and Cheever's as far as atmosphere and price, where a well-behaved 11 year old wouldn't be scowled at. Any suggestions???

Just saw this, wondering where you ended up going.

We did Charleston's. The food was fine, but maybe we should have just done the Starr... Charleston's just doesn't really do it for me anymore.

    Charleston's is always pretty meh..

With a kid of that age, I would have maybe tried the Wedge -- kids always like pizza and the pizza there is fantastic.

That would have been a good idea. I kind of wanted to take her someplace that seemed fancy so there would be a heightened emphasis on table manners, etc.
