Thread: How would this fly in Indian Territory (abortion)

Default How would this fly in Indian Territory (abortion)

Very sad story about a nine-year old girl in Brazil raped by a step-father and becoming pregnant with twins.

Abortion is illegal in Brazil but the court can step in with certain cases.

Looks like the Catholic Church opposed the ruling. Ha! She's gonna burn in hell for this one.

How would this fly if this were, say, in the territory? Is abortion still murder?

Just a guess on my part, but I suspect many pro-lifers regarding this situation are not all that different than many death penalty opponents were regarding the sentence imposed upon McVay.

Rare is the rule, or opinion, that doesn't permit some exception to it.

I read in another article that they excommunicated the girl's mother and the dr that performed the abortion, but not the stepfather. I don't get that...

I know quite a few right wingers that oppose this. They say no matter what, abortion should not be done. It is killing. Then in the very next breath say they are pro death penalty.

This, I truly don't understand and never will.
