Barbara Billingsley was Theodore Cleaver's mom. Captain Kangaroo, Bob
    Keshan, was the first Clarabel!

TV is something I'm pretty good at, until the mid 70's. I think by then all of
    the actors had died.

    Here are some good ones!

McKeever and the Colonel - where did it take place?
    Bob Cummings Show
My Little Margie - who played her?
The Millionaire - who wrote the check? Who's voice was he?
Honey West - what did she do?
    The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
Mystery Theater - in Oklahoma City
    Talk of the Town
Crusader Rabbit - who was his side kick?
Little Roquefort - who was he?
Tom Terrific - what was his dog's name? The mean guy?
Rocky and Bullwinkle - who was the voice of Rocky?

What did the following programs have in common? No cheating!
Hint - They tried it on E.R. and it was a disaster.
    Playhouse 90
    Kraft Mystery Theater
    Westinghouse Theater
    General Electric Theater
    Hallmark Theater

The Bob Cummings show took place in Joplin Missouri. They often referred to the Conner's Hotel and Shiffendecker park, which were real places. He used the name Bob Collins on the show. I THINK Ann B Davis played Shotsy (Sp?) his secretary or something like that.

Gail Storm was My Little Margie.

John Baresford (sp?) Tipton was the Millionaire and his lackey was Michael Anthony.

Little Roqueford was a cartoon mouse, I think.

    Those shows were done live.

Someone else can get the others.

That's right! And it was a disaster.

Back in the "Day" actors thought nothing of live TV. It was a normal thing.
Yeah, there were goofs, just like a play, but they'd make the best of it with
improvisation or simply ignoring the back drop that was on fire. I doubt that
most of today's TV actors have what it takes.

Today's live theater is a different story.

If this kidney stone and I weren't fighting right now I could really lay some old shows and trivia on you. CarltonsKeeper will catch on this one and man you better start taking notes....When we were kids he could remember all this stuff.
'78, I know you're a car buff but, Carlton can tell you car stories and types of cars that he either owns now or in the past that will blow you away....

Route 66 was a t.v. show about two young guys driving through American in a '58 Corvette and the escapades they would get into...Cheesy show but a heck of a Corvette.

Spin and Marty was always my favorite...would like to see some of those episodes again....always wanted to live on a dud ranch.....yee-haw...

There was a World WarII weekly show but, I can't remember the name of it right now.....

    then there was"
    Dr. Ben Casey
    The Fugitive
    Gene Autry show
    Roy rogers/Dale Evans show..
    Lash larue
    The rebel...Johnny Yuma
The Wyatt Earp show...My dad's favorite along with Gunsmoke
    The Jack Benny Show....
    Young Dr. kildare
    Marcus Welby M.D.
The Life of Riley (William Bendix)
    December Bride
    Dannysday....With Mary Hart
    Harry Volkman was the Weatherman.....

Okay, smarty pants, what was the name and what type of horse was Dale's?

C'mon! I'll give you 60 seconds to come up with the answer, that way you
    cain't use the internet!

Hey Gen64, I kick my butt every time I drive past NW 67th and N. Portland.
In the early 70's there was this near mint '58 'vette for an astronomical
price. You can't even phathom what these people wanted for that car.

I kid you not, those rip-offs wanted, hold on to your hats, NO they demanded
with no negotiation WHATSOEVER... are you ready? This'll make that
kidney stone pass in 3 seconds... by the way to make matters worse, it was
    black with red interior!
