Pacsun already has a store at the mall, and I think they put the sign up because it's one of the few "good" chain stores that they have left. They wouldn't be locating into one of the department store spaces. The question now is how long it will be before Pacsun jumps ship as well.
I was at Crossroads today and on the backside directly in front of where S&B was are 2 coleman semi trailers. While inside i peeked through the bars at the storefront and saw nothing in there was dark just like when S&B left it. When i left I drove around to the front of the mall that faces I-240 and there were signs made of banner type material that said Coleman on them and then directly under those were signs that read Big sale march 7-8th or something along those dates, so it would appear they are just using the space for a short term coleman flea market type sale then it will be empty again. I saw no signs of a coleman store going in that location.
Bobby, maybe the "Big Sale March 7-8th" is meant to be the Grand Opening Sale?
Is there anything but hot air to the rumors that one of the indian tribes is thinking of purchasing the mall?
Bass Pro could move to that store and Ikea could take their place.
I wish.
Bass Pro move into Crossroads? lol I would think the proper word to be expand.
They will not give up that nice store in Bricktown.
My guess would be Coleman Outlet is doing a limited time sale at C-Roads. As much bad news as the place has endured, if someone was moving into a large space, it doesn't seem folks like Steve, or his south side compatriots, or the evening talking heads, would be in the dark several days after rumors were floating.
Coleman does have factory outlet stores. They are mostly in outlet malls, but the company is based in Wichita so it wouldn't be a huge surprise if they located here.
Don't Edmond My Downtown
Drove by yesterday on my way into work.
This does appear to be a typical temporary sales event, the dates on the vinyl banners read March 4 - 8.
If you're into camping, or have friends and fams who are, there will likely be some decent deals to be had for upcoming trips, birthdays, holidays, just because days, etc.
that's a shame... i was hoping that it would've been a new, permanent fixture of the mall.

To bad they would not give a good lease to north pole city to move there, that would be a good fit for both of them.
I don't know if Coleman would ever consider placing a permanent outlet here, but I'd be happy to see it if they wanted locate here.
Coleman may be using this sale as a way to test the market for a future store.
that would be intersting if a tribe bought the mall.. large casino with mall and hotel already together.. hmmmm It would be huge...
This is one situation where things could happen quickly. Financing for such a project could be more easily arranged than for a more standard business venture.
I went to the Coleman sale yesterday.. Not bad.. OK I guess... Nothing really.. I have most of it... and some things I could get at the Army Navy better and for less... But anyways... They have a bunch of coolers, tents, sleeping bags.. Camp cookers, and camp cookware.... Etc... etc.. But they did have some good prices on some things...
also... Hot Spot Pizza and grill has opened and is delivering food out of the mall.. Pizza, sammiches... Burgers and fries.... Just a late night food delivery joint...

Sorry I didn't pipe in sooner: it's a temporary sales event.
I'm just wondering Does Crossroads own the JCPenney building?
I don't think Crossroads own the Dillards building.
Dillard's, Macy's and Steve & Barry's all own their buildings plus a good chunk of the adjacent parking lots and land underneath.
I think the mall ownership bought back the old JC Penney property.
