    Did you know there was a POW base where Will Rogers Airport is now, i knew there was one near Ardmore [Gene Autry POW Camp], but the one at Will Rogers was unknown to me. here is a list from Wikipedia list of OK POW Camps.

    You're right about everything except the ice cream shop was on Commerce and
    Puckets was on 29th. BUT they were both on the south side of the streets they
    were on

    At the bottom of your screen the scroll bar like the scrollbar on the side you scroll down with. Just pull it to the side and you will see it.

    Did you live southside DaveSkater? where did you go to school at?..Yeah at one time Almonte was a very busy place to go to.

    64 is right. We stopped in their everytime we drove to Van's. Had the best Ice cream sandwiches. Anyone Remember Dennis Donuts on sw. 29? Dozen for .60 cents.

    Used to sell them door-to-door.....50 cents a dozen, 3/1.00...probably before your time....I sold so many of those things it was ridiculous.

    Hey, '64, I saw in the paper today where Al Waintroob died. I knew him back when he had Waintroob's on Commerce and then I worked for him when he had the Men's Dept at AMC. But I saw today that he had gone into your business and I was wondering if you knew him. He was one of those who had a gruff front but was really very nice. I liked him a lot.
