My best friend son found it in a dumpster when they began tearing down and remodeling Crystals. He got it out and didn't know what to do....We had just built a new house and my wife (infinite wisdom) wanted a Moose for over the fireplace....I looked everywhere for one and found out he had this one and the chase began. our Fireplace has a large enough mantel to handle a Moose...So, there it is....It's gotta be 50 + years old however......Still looks good....

Something I remember about Agnew Hardware is the guys there always knew what you were talking about and they always had it. You go around town to the different Lumber yards and finally go there and they would have it and be cheaper than anyone.
I was wondering wasn't there a restaurant next to where Office Depot is now?
before that restaurant was ashley's, it was a kettle for many years. -M
I rememeber back around 76-77 neptunes had a promotional upside down coke glass, and you got it for free if you ordered there meal combo....sheesh I had a kajillion of them glasses....that just brought back another memory the kids back then would chew there straws and make them into a slinky type objects and hang them from there mirriors and our visors had all the SONIC plastic cup animal like the monkey, girafee and dangit I got what the others were.
Chuck Stubbs was a great character. He matured really early and could easily pass for a guy in his mid 20s when we were still in HS. I think he started shaving in the 8th grade. Anyway, he used to get dressed up and go to car dealerships and ask to test drive the high end cars and they would let him. He would drive it around to his friends houses to get a giggle. He was also voted "the most likely to succeed" of our class, but I don't think it worked out tooo well for him, though. But he sure was a nice person.
Oh man, Big Ed died Thursday. I used to go to Big Ed's at 89th and Western all the time and can still remember the flavor of the burgers (might just be the grease I remember, but were still great). Nice to see that the remaining store kept the classic look of Big Ed's.

Eddie Thomas was another great guy. I hadn't seen him in twenty years and due to his size I would have assumed he died years ago of a heart attack.
OMG no way! here is a few memories of BIG ED, When we had our body shop we took cars regularly to hibdons when it was hibdons! I met him there he was getting left side tires ONLY he said because of his size he wore them out faster than he did the passenger side then he just chuckled a heck of a nice fellow. Also whenever someone from the shop sold a car, they had to buy the rest of us a BIG EDS GIANT HAMBURGER with the huge fries and all. It came in the big ole pizza box.....he is going to be missed.
