Could someone tell me when the new piano bar plans on opening? Also is it going to be a chain of some sort or what? I was wanting their website. Thanks for all replies.

There was one that was going to open in Lower Bricktown that was a chain out of Texas, but there's also a local one in the works that's farther along, if I remember correctly.
hmmm....well I was talking specifically about the one going in the old Al's.
That would be the latter. I think it was supposed to be before March for the Big XII.
I also believe City Walk has a piano bar in it as well.
Pete's Piano Bar? Can someone please find out what's going on with this place next to Toby Keith's.

The grass has gone dormant, but will probably return in the spring. Not sure anything else more interesting is actually going to happen on that patch of land.
It's on hold.
There's an ad in the latest CVD "Stay & Save" coupon book (used to be Spur of the Moment) for Michael Murphy's Dueling Pianos.
It lists murphyspianobar.com as the website but there's nothing there yet.
Thurs, Fri, Sat from 7pm to 2am. 25 S. Oklahoma.
Is Murphy's Dueling Pianos open yet? Or is there a date for it?
I'm excited to see a dualing piano bar coming to BT. Howl At The Moon in Chicago was one of my favorite places to go. Piano bars are great to go to with a group.
Getting close.
Looks good on the outside. But trust me Ive walked by and looked in the window, they are months away from being finished.
I've played many a gig in Bricktown. To me the best place in town, for a real
jazz band, is Maker's Cigar Lounge and Piano Bar. When I say Jazz Band, I
mean a group that improvises on the spot and sets tunes, whether old
standards or modern, in a new light, or in an illuminated spur of the moment
sophistication or approach. Jazz is an unchained art form.
The smoke bothers a few, very few otherwise known as the pc crowd, people
but the music is very good. My group loved Maker's because the crowd liked
us. Maker's is very music friendly.
We may be playing in Maker's soon, but until then, go there and have a
good time.
So I'm PC just because I don't enjoy breathing in filthy smoke that smells nasty, and makes my asthma flare up so I can barely breathe? I'd love to go to Makers and enjoy some Jazz but wont because they don't have a smoke free area.
I frequent smokey bars and even might even smoke a cigarette or two myself, but the time I went to Makers the smoke was unbelievably bad. It was the type of conditions that make your eyes burn after 5 minutes. Smokey places need to have higher ceilings or better air filtration. The Ranch has some type of air filter in their bar that totally clears out the smoke, you dont even notice it.
Either way, its time to ban indoor smoking at restaurants and bars (cigar bars could be the lone exceptions). How long does our state have to have some of the highest teen and adult smoking rates before someone does something. Im done ranting now.
Read in the Gazette today that Michael Murphy's Dueling Piano's Grand Opening is Thursday April 16th, so wouldn't be surprised if they have a soft opening before that. www.murphyspianobar.com
They have a great neon sign up on the building already.
