It was the Big Red Steak House. Prunette didn't like it.

Was it a Knox or Deep Rock gas station?

Yeah, I remember Agnew skating rink. Went there often. Geno's use to have realy good cinnamon rolls.

Thanks Redskins/General. I thought Capital Hill lawn mower was on Robinson at one time.

29th & Agnew area brings back alot of memories. The steak restaurant, the Roundup.

How about Lovelace shoes (original store). We use to take our shoes there to get taps put on them. Who remember's the taps.

Mr. Lovelace would always grab and pinch my belly. I didn't like him. My parents
    wouldn't let us have taps.

I remember putting Continental Taps on the Front of my WEDGES (wing tip of course) and Horseshoe taps on the back.....Could slid 40 feet in the hall or until you got caught. Then it was "Grab your Ankles" time. We use to use the shoe shop in Airline Shopping Center...Mr. Loveless was always 10 -15 cents higher....Hey, that was a lot of money then......Mr. Loveless himself has since passed away. Tough old bird but a real good guy...

Speaking of shoe's and such. Gen/64, I think I saw you last time I went to Mayridge barber shop, got my boogie waxed, then had "Robert" shine my wedges for me. I would always leave my good "Cordovan's" there and pick them up later. Oh, always went next door to Truelove's, shot some snooker and had a beer or three before going in the back room for a little light gambling!!!!!!!! Those were the days!!

Mayridge Barber shop, Truelove's, Cordovan's HMMM.....Were you at Truelove's when the BIG FIGHT broke out???. Couldn't get out of there fast enough. The old Mayridge Shopping Center...Southside Deluxe....Shaw drug Hamburger and a malt....Do you remember Bob Poole's Grocery store on the Northeast corner of 44th/May???...I lived in Texas during the 70's and early 80's....I owned the only Fireworks stand in the county at the time....And from nowhere Bob Poole pulled up and bought fireworks from us. I asked him if it was him and we both started laughing...I handed out handbills for him...EVERY "Stinking" Thursday night.....Made two bucks though......
during the middle to late 50's. The postman does it now....

How many remember 3-D Athletics Shop? I spent many hours deciding which
baseball bat I was going to buy. Not a glove came into that store that we didn't
    give it the 3rd degree.

    What a place.

Did Tommy have a trim shop on 25th and western? I remember seeing his van sitting over there all the time, that was where we took the cars from our shop to get vinyl tops put on.
