What a Party!!

If you missed the one year anniversary party for okctalk last night at Ted's, you missed an excellent time . We had a very good turnout, and got to meet some of the posters on this forum face to face.

You ask...who was there? Well, let's see.....there was myself and my wife, Patrick and his fiance', Todd, his wife, and their baby, T.J., mranderson and his friend, Janet, Workman45, DarlingDiva & her other half, MasterWolf, ms.relaxationstation and her guest (his name slips my mind), dirtrider and his guest, mom2des_n_nate.

We all got filled up on mexican food and excellent conversation. Ted's did an excellent job at accommodating us, plus, their service was holysmokes exceptional. Our tea and water glasses stayed full, the chips, salsa, and tortillas kept coming, and the waiter was very friendly and prompt.

Most of us arrived around 6 PM., and the last of us left at around 8:30. We were having such a good time that it was hard to leave. Unfortunately, because of the way the table was set up, some of us didn't get to talk to others as much as we wanted to.

All in all it was a very successful evening, so if you missed it, you missed a wonderful time .

I totallay agree. I also think we should make this a monthly event. Maybe spread it around to other fine dining establishments around the city.

I had fun the food was great loved the salsa that has been the best yet salsa I have had. Even what I ordered was great and it was made very well. I just wish ted's had a place in norman to eat at too, with ou being there he would make a killing and keep busy I am sure, if he was in norman I would frequent him more often to eat.

Hey guys, it was great getting to meet everyone. Even though I was a tad bit sun burnt and extremely dragged out from the garage sale earlier during the day, you guys were great at keeping the conversation going...Good Times!

It was especially good to see several OKC Talk members I had never met in person, i.e., ms.relaxationstation and her guest, workman45, dirtrider and mom2des_n_nate, and mranderson's guest!!!
You guys are all wonderful folks, and we're so happy to have you here on OKC Talk! I look forward to meeting you all again in the near future.

I haven't talked to Todd about this yet, but I think it would be neat if this summer sometime we could get together out at Lake Hefner or Lake Arcadia and have a big OKC Talk cook out, or if not that, at least another get-together of some sort.

Hello everyone!!! Yes, we had a blast at our get together. I will agree that maybe we should have played seat swap throughout the night because I hardly got to talk to the people at the other end of our table. Overall it was fun and the food was excellent and maybe we should try this a lil more frequent than once a year.

It was great getting to meet those of you I had not met before.

I was thinking about that cookout myself, and what about haveing it at a park so if any kids come along they have a place to play. I can offer up a good park in norman called kidspace at reaves park. It has many tables and grills, has a big wooden playground to play at and a tot lot for the toddlers to play in too. Or maybe a lake we can swim in and make a day of it then we would have more of a chance to be able to talk to everyone and have plenty of room to stretch out!

Definetly had a wonderful time getting to meet everyone, like everyone has said got to talk to some more than others, Relation and I got to exchange some cute kid stories, I think a cook out of some sorts or any kind of get together this summer would be great, definetly would need to be kid friendly with have 2 myself..
