Does anyone remember a Mr Swiss hamburger joint at S.W. 59th and about Agnew?
Don't remember Mr. Swiss but I do remember Don's Drive-In at 59th & Agnew.
From Kindergarden to 4th grade, I lived on Hilcrest Drive just south of 59th.
Don's at 59th and Agnew had a cool sign.
There was a Griffs and a Riffs. One was at 44th and Penn and one at 29th and about Western don't remember which was which. I think Griffs was at 59th and Penn..
Yeah General64 I graduated 70. 10-roger on local of Swiss.
What was local of Country Club Inn, Eddie's and Kiesperts? Also does anyone remember the Farmers Daughter local?
Generals64, I graduated Capital Hill 71.
Gen70, I remember a Farmer's Daughter at NW23d & Meridian. Is that the one you meant? Had a Myna bird in a cage just inside the door. People (kids) taught it to curse.

Funny Story:....I worked at the TG&Y at 74th and Penn and we had taken a trade-in (yes, a trade-in) on a talking Parrott. Well, we always had stockboys stay late and mop & wax etc. It seems a lady put the parrot on lay-A-way and during the time before she paid the bird off the stock boys taught theis parrot EVERY Slang and Curse word in the books. We finally had to give the lady her money back and gave the bird to Bob Jenny to get rid of it......There were quite a few looks when customers would pass and the bird would let out the expletives.
gen70, I dated a Grant girl in 69 or 70, that didn't work out too well also (thank god).
I'm gonna try to make the next meeting. Would like to meet everyone.
That's a great story Generals64.
