Anyone remember 77 Foods on Sheilds? We used to ride our bikes there to get a Rootbeer and Beef Jerky.

Hey, Mr. Crwth:........where3 do you live now?....do you remember the things we have talked about?....How about the old Texaco Station on the Southeast corner of 44th/Penn?....do you remember when some kids shot the hands off the clock and then bragged about it to a local Cop....Didn't take him very long to find the suspects....Huh?
1960 should make you and the old USG60 guy pals...We have a monthly get-together at Dan's Old Time Diner on about 82nd and south Western. this one is on the 24th and would like to meet you....Bring some new old memories with you......
Does anybody remember the restaurant on SW 41 or 42 and S. May. It was
called Swyden's. Later it changed hands and, of course, the name changed to
something else but I don't remember what.

It was a Mexican Restaurant for a while. However, somewhere here lately on one of the threads someone gave the answer to the question. Wasn't it by the Telephone building on 42nd and May...East Side?
My wife who was a Grant Grad. in '79 and I are going to try to attend the next get together. Is it still at Dan's on the 24th?

I think yopu're right about Smith's......but, Mabel's comes to mind also. I lived on that side of Town and in that vicinity when they were there. Do you remember the old library that was there?....they then changed it all to Capitol Hill Library.....Gosh, new Memory.....Maybe the south side is coming back alive...
