The name is familiar but I'm not sure. Where was it on Shields? That's Spartan
    territory, you know...

There was a Mexican Restaurant called Pedro's or Peppy's around 56th. It was
    grrrrrreat.

It was at 5205 S. Sheilds, Cagle re-opened in the 80's, as Cagle's Sliver Bullet. But they folded up. Did any of you go to Hotsie Hotdogs on 27th and S.May? They had another store across from the Y on s.penn.

Does anybody remember the restaurant on SW 41 or 42 and S. May. It was
called Swyden's. Later it changed hands and, of course, the name changed to
something else but I don't remember what.

It was a Mexican Restaurant for a while. However, somewhere here lately on one of the threads someone gave the answer to the question. Wasn't it by the Telephone building on 42nd and May...East Side?

That's the right place but it was a couple of different restaurants long before it
became a Mexican restaurant. Was Smith's the second owner? Mabel's?

I think yopu're right about Smith's......but, Mabel's comes to mind also. I lived on that side of Town and in that vicinity when they were there. Do you remember the old library that was there?....they then changed it all to Capitol Hill Library.....Gosh, new Memory.....Maybe the south side is coming back alive...

I went to the Capitol Hill library but I don't remember where it was. Mom would
drive and we kids were too busy fighting to know where we were.
