did anyone else follow the "superstition"??

And cornbread, for two meals today. I should have a ton of good luck this year.
I don't believe in superstitions. Could we please start putting a 13th floor in buildings. I mean come on already, the 13th floor is there they just put a 14 on it. It is really annoying!
P.S. It is not bad luck to walk under a ladder, stupid but not bad luck. Someone could drop something on you.
I will also have good luck this year (hopefully). Black eyed peas and cornbread and it was awesome.
Not me.
So far, so good.

I wish!
I had some fab pizza. I feel lucky enough
I listened to the Black Eyed Peas and Green Day on my laptop. Does that count?

You're screwed, Gawd, so get prepared!
I'm the traditional Hoppin' John cook in this household and everyone coming by got a heaping supply of blackeyed-pea based Hoppin' John, cornbread, and my wife's of blackberry cake augmented with blackberry wine.
My to-die-for recipe is in this old blog article: Doug Dawgz Blog: New Years 2006
Happy New Year!
We figured it was better to be safe than sorry, so we planned to pick up a couple of cans of black-eyed peas at Wal Mart while we were out doing some running around yesterday. But there weren't any to be had! They were totally sold out!No canned peas.....no dry peas. I couldn't help but feel that there were probably a couple dozen cases of them in the back, but I suspect there wasn't enough help out on the floor to notice that they'd sold out. Crest had an ample supply, btw.
I had blackeyed peas, cabbage, greens.... a little good luck tag team.
Mom and I stopped at the Pig Out Palace in Henryetta and they had black eyed peas. She was excited. I don't believe in it, but then again, I don't like eating them (or any vegetables).
All the republicans that ate it for 2008....the luck didn't help -censored-.
Of course, would never celebrate New Years without them.
Always do; can't say it helps, but as DH said, "Well, we've never tried not eating them, so how do we know our 'luck' wouldn't have been worse?"![]()
