Was one of the more entertaining games for sure...Loss of Reynolds completely changed the game...Linebacker was a question mark coming into the season and it will be a definite problem from here on out

Loss stings for sure but the loss of Reynolds hurts even worse...Feel horrible since I'm not sure he can come back from a 3rd knee injury

I agree that the loss of Reynolds was a major blow on the defensive side of things, but I also think that OU slowed their no-huddle offense WAY down by constantly looking to the sidelines for the next play. It was neither fish nor fowl. Yes, they weren't huddling, but they were taking almost as much time as if they had and they were giving Texas a chance to re-group and catch their breath. They weren't keeping them off-balance. I think that's partly what kept OU from being able to answer Texas' scores.

Bring Back Mike.....never gonna happen. Mike is a great coach and this year he is finally showing his potential as a head coach. Arizona has shown steady improvement since he took over the hc's job, and are on target to go to their first bowl game in over a decade. He will never be an assistant coach again. That said, I always thought it was a mistake to let him go in the first place. It would be great to have the Stoops brothers on the sidelines together.

"Fire Bob"......... Are you crazy????? And just who do you suggest would be a better head coach than Bob? Check his stats.

I know the loss to Texas stunk, but whats the shame in occasionally losing to one of the best teams in the country. Fire a coach because his team lost to the #1 team in the country??????? kinda tuff dontcha think?

OU didn't play that bad, in fact I thought it was a good game (despite the outcome). And I think the rest of the country and the poll voters agree with me, otherwise why did OU only fall three spots in the AP? ..... Because they saw OU as a great team play a great game and lost to a great opponent. In a rivalry game, against a heisman trophy candidate (although Sam was better), with some bad calls (not the reason we lost), and missing one of their best players.

OU made some bad decisions on play calls, (ie...fake punt from 15 yards behind the line of scrimmage on 4th and 6), the special teams are very very unspecial, and Texas played a great game plan. So we lost. I was disappointed in the time it took to run our "no-huddle" offense as well; as TaoMaas mentioned. That needs to be addressed in this weeks meetings, and Im sure it will be.

If we absolutely positively have to have a scape-goat to fire....maybe we should look at the special teams coach (Chris Wilson). How many times have teams run kickoffs and punts back for touchdowns this season against OU? I've lost count already. Take away that 96 yard Texas return, and OUs right back in the game.

Not to mention the OU interception in the endzone that was never called. (sorry I had to get that in somewhere...sour grapes I know)

OU can still win the BigXII south, the Big XII title, and a national championship this year. And it doesn't take a whole lot of imagination to figure out how. It would help tremendously if Mizzou beats Texas this weekend however. So we'll need to win out...maybe playing highly ranked OSU and TT teams, then beat Mizzou in KC. And we'll need help from Mizzou, Texas Tech, and OSU. + a loss by PSU and/or Alabama.

I for one am not ready to call the season a failure. Boomer Sooner

Still waiting for the polls to update. They're taking forever.

I noticed that BCS was removed and the Harris is inserted.

OU IS GETTING SO PREDICTABLE! this started back during the peterson days, itis always first down and ADRIAN UP THE MIDDLE. How about some changing up the plays maybe a shovel pass or a screen on first down, it just gets so annoying. Demarco murray is a much better receiver now than having him as a back,he looks like he is scared or not healed up enough to run up the middle. Our offensive line could not block a group of 12 year olds right now it seems as though bradford is running for his life every play.

Big play BOB needs to keep the game full speed it seems to wear a good defense down.

I love my sooners just needed to vent a little.

O-K I FEEL BETTER NOW! WHEW

    Big game tonight.
Should be an easy OU win, but this is a statement game for Nebraska. It'd be nice to see them back in control of the Big 12 north and restore the prominence of the match-up. And also, we have to root for Texas Tech. They win tonight, and if we beat them in a couple weeks, we'll have a 3-way tie in the south division. Thats our best shot at the national title game.

We will have both games on tonight, my wife is a Texas Tech grad.....if they stay undefeated until the OU-Tech game, that will make our visit up there for the game interesting.

I was shocked to learn that OU play Nebraska this year. I thought it would be next year. I think this game will not be heated, because Nebraska is pretty much unstable. This should be an easy win.

I'm hoping that Texas Tech beat Texas. Gawd, Texas killed OSU. I wanted OSU to defeat Texas. This is embarassing.

OU is #4 on all 3 polls.

Tech did well. Pokes did better than well. Sooners had a very fortunate first quarter and did fine the other three, which was good to see as well.

Not used to noting this, but the Pokes look to be very strong the next two weeks. I'm certain that prospect pleases my niece way more than it does her unkie.

The Pokes are fairly strong this year but will have to focus on serious competition each of the next two weeks. That's a plus as it will subtract from their prep time for bedlam, also they'll be somewhat worn down from the schedule.

Why is OU #6 on BCS and Texas way up there?!

Number 1 lost a nailbiter, and only barely. Not a huge fall results. Tech played strong and got a leap of respect for toppling numero uno. OU trashed neb in the first quarter but pretty much played slightly better than even the other 3 quarters against a team that was not real impressive all in all. A few other interesting games also impacted the results, Just like some Floridians will have an impact on tuesday in a different capacity.

I would of thought 5 myself, but I'm not shocked at 6.

For OU to make it to the Big XII championship game they need Tech to beat OSU. Then for OU to win out against A&M, Tech and OSU. In that scenario OU, Texas, and Tech would end in a three way tie with one loss each. The highest ranked team would then get the nod. Which should be OU (having beaten two top ten teams in their last two games of the season) If OSU beats tech then OU wins out it would be a two way tie between OU and Texas which would give Texas the big XII south championship since they beat OU head to head.

I take pride in myself for never leaving a game early. I hate it when people start leavin the stadium at halftime of a blowout. BUT.....

Saturday night we did leave at halftime to go watch the end of the Texas-Texas Tech game on the bigscreen at Oconells. And I'm glad I did for two reasons. 1. Oconells "south" will be closing at the end of this season, and love it or hate it Oconells has been an OU tradition for decades and I wanted to at least go there one more time. and 2. The Texas-Texas Tech game was one of the most exciting and best played games I ever saw.

The atmosphere at Oconells at the end of the Texas game was electric. There must have been 2-3000 people lined up on Lidsay street watching the game. After Texas took the lead with 1:28 left the crowd was as quiet as I've ever seen that many people. But when Tech made that last drive down the feild the crowd roared at every play. And when they threw that last pass with 1 second remaining to go ahead the crowd went crazy. (mad at myself for not filming the crowd at that point....it was awesome) Then the crowd exploded again after Tech recovered the ball to end the game.

I don't think I've ever seen a crowd pull for a team to win....knowing that if that team won it would drop their team in the polls...(which we all knew would happen) You can't drop Texas below OU in the polls...they beat us, I am a little surprised they moved Florida ahead of OU though. Grrrr. But if OU wins out and the other teams help (as mentioned above) then OU still has a shot at the NC game in Miami. We still need Alabama to lose to LSU Then for someone to beat Florida.

    You're right westsidesooner,
I wrote that saturday night in a stupor and meant to phrase it the other way.

I'll admit that I leave games a bit early sometimes, but thats typically when my mom wants to use one of our tickets.

I agree that Florida is a few spots overrated, but Alabama and Penn State are really overrated. I think any of the top 15 big 12 teams would beat those teams.

I would have posted something Saturday night when I got home too but my hands were too sore from clapping and from high-fiveing everyone in Norman. Surprised I still have a voice after those games. You are right...Alabama is overrated. Their best win was against a now 2 loss Georgia team. Penn States best win is against a 2 loss Ohio state team which got destroyed by USC. And check out the rest of their schedule...coastal carolina, temple, oregon state. My biggest beef though is Florida being ranked above OU. OUs only loss was to Texas, Florida loss was at home to....(5-4) Ole Miss. Floridas best win was against a two loss # 13 Georgia. Same for USC...you cant lose to Oregon state and still be in the NC hunt. The national media seems to have a love affair with the SEC. Same thing with ESPN and Colt Mccoy..hes a great QB, but not worth a 10 minute heisman promo every saturday on gameday. Sams numbers are better than Colts.

Regardless this year is one of the most exciting in recent memory for college football. Win the NC or not Its a fun season.
