Ex Blink 182 Barker Crash

Travis Barker was involved in a fatal private plane crash in Columbia, South Carolina early on Saturday morning, killing four and injuring two.

The former Blink 182 drummer is said to be one of the two injured.

Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen says the plane carrying six people was departing shortly before midnight Friday when air traffic controllers reporting seeing sparks.

She says the plane went off the runway and crashed on a nearby road.

Bergen says the Lear 60 was headed to Van Nuys, Calif.
She didn't have the names of those killed and didn't know the conditions of the two people injured.

Travis Barker and DJAM are in intensive care in critical condition at at Augusta Georgia Burn Center.

The NTSB is there investigating. The lady pilot and her co-pilot died, as well as a gentleman who reportedly was Barker's assistant. I don't remember who the fourth fatality was.

One witness reported that he drove up right when it happened and the survivors had been thrown to the street and were trying to beat the flames off each other. At that point, they were on their feet. At least one of them tore off his shirt because it was on fire. I hope they recover but it sounds like they have very serious burns.

The other person was Barker's security guard.

Happily, they are reporting that the survivors are likely to make full recoveries. Let us wish for the best for them.
