Any of you remember the old disco days' song: I'll see if I can bring it up and post it later!
It's Raining Men--Weather Girls aka: Two Tons of Fun!!
That would raise the roof off the Ford Center!

Haha! The women would love that one. I think that should be the song playing when the team runs in at the start of the game. Of course, I suspect they and the owners might disagree with me.
I found:
It's Raining Men--Weather Girls on YOU TUBE:
YouTube - Weather Girls - Its Raining Men
Another YOU Tube Version: YouTube - Geri Halliwell - It's Raining Men
We need to find a cool song to play after a win, like the yankees playing new york, new york, and the red sox playing dirty water. I think after the Hornets won here, they played that "Hey" generic song.
I agree with you Nixon. The Kinks did a song call Oklahoma U.S.A., but it is too mellow.
I can't any good thunder songs. Thunder Kiss '65 by White Zombie was the most up tempo song I could find, but it doesn't even mention Thunder in the chorus.
We will definitely need something that the crowd can stomp their feet and clap too!![]()
I Heard Someone On Koco Mention The Thunder Rolls By Garth Brooks.
If we could only get the chorus
' And the Thunder Rolls... and the Lightening Strikes'..
let's leave the cheating dog of a husband out of it.. lol
" You've Been Thunder Struck ! "
My vote is this:
YouTube - AC/DC - Thunderstruck
Thunderstruck - AC/DC
It won't get better than that.
omg.. that is so it!!!!!!! Fantastic find....
" You've Been Thunder Struck ! "
That is our theme when we win..
'You've Been Thunder Struck' this is it, no question.
You're a genious.
" You've Been Thunder Struck ! "
I'd like to hear the crowd chant that sound thats in the begining when we're on defense. Blocked shot or steal then in unison the ford center yells "THUN-DER!!"
and then when we win.. ' You've Been ThunderStruck!!'
You better send this in.. it's a winner.
I wonder what kind of Royalties AC/DC would want?
" You've Been Thunder Struck ! "
Ahem....

Come on...gimme my props. The name's off a little, but the concept's the same.
For those who don't want to find it:
And yes it is genius.Originally Posted by MadMonk

oh, sorry Madmonk, I missed that post ..
yep, this has to be our song.
Whoever thought of this for a team named Thunder is spot on... you're both geniuses!
" You've Been Thunder Struck ! "
I had a web site >>> ThunderDome <<< ... I didn't renew the domain. *cries* It expired like months ago. Grrrrrrrrrrr!!! It was actually Xtreme ThunderDome. lol xthunderdome.net <<< Isn't with us anymore. *cries*
Back to the theme song for Thunder.
You know how they do funny commercials involving animals. Well, they could have a real-looking Bisons to dance to the Thunder Rolls song on the court. lol
I for one hope and pray that "Thunder Rolls" is never played during the games.
It's a great song, but it's about infedility and spousal abuse.
> it's about infedility and spousal abuse
While I agree it should not be a theme song, its subject matter actually makes it somewhat fitting (sad, but not without a ring of truth)
AC/DC was featured on the Varsity Blues motion picture soundtrack a few years back, so the younger crowd (well, my age, 27) is very familiar with it.
My choice all along too. I've probably played that video 20 times recently and it really helps that the vid was shot in a venue that has a stadium effect to it. Awesome!!! My only concern is that in the middle of the song there are a couple of refrences to Texasand I don't know how well that would go over. Possibly a few changes could be made (with ac/dc's approval of course)
And in another thread...(possibly the "we have a name thread") someone said it WONT be used as the theme song. I don't think they ever gave a reason though.
