Who's standing in line tonight for the Big Opening tonight?
Obviously I'm not.. but if it were up to the kids, we'd be there right now. Thank goodness we're not a democracy around here.

" You've Been Thunder Struck ! "
My ex called earlier and said that she was 4th in line at the warren and had been in line since about 6pm for the midnight showing.
BTW...all showings at the Warren are sold out thru Monday.
Just got back!
They've done it again. Nolan and Bale's Batman films will go down in history as the greatest super-hero saga put to film. The Dark Knight is so complex, so thematically rich, it's impossible to absorb every layer in a single viewing. As Batman Begins was a meditation on fear, so The Dark Knight takes it a step futher by examining the good and evil that is in us all. Ledger's performance is truly haunting.
10/10 or A+
Correction....
It would seem that since last night, more showings have been added and now there are tickets available for this weekend.
Just to be safe, it might be a good idea to call the theater ahead of time. Who knows how accurate the online sales are or how often the system updates itself.
The 11:15 pm showing at Warren was not a newly added showing and my friend bought tickets for tonights 11:15 showing just about 10 minutes ago. So someone must be telling you a story if they're saying it's all sold out. However, I did call Warren the other day and they told me that the balcony was sold out until Monday. Maybe that's what you're thinking of.
That makes more sense. I jsut bought a ticket for Bricktown at 830 tonight online. If an 830 showing isn't sold out in Bricktown, I can't imagine Warren being sold out entirely all weekend.
I know that I tried to buy tix online yesterday (for Friday, saturday, sunday or monday) and there were no showings available for purchase. And I have no reason to doubt my ex, who was there at the time.
It is entirely possible that the availability of the tix your friend purchased today wasn't the same availability as last night when I tried.
Bottom line is: there are now tix available online for purchase.
you sure can improve earnings by dying...this continues to be true in this case for WB.... Sorry Heath ,no disrespect..
Just saw the 10:15 AM viewing. WOW!!!!! That was an awesome movie. It was so rich with character details. It is just a shame that Heath Ledger will not be able to portray this character again (Sorry if this is a spoiler for some). He was genius with this role. Some parts are made for people, and Joker was talor-made for Heath Ledger. RIP Heath. Eckhart did a great job in portraying the yin and yang that is Two-Face. Christian Bale was good, but I hate the his lisp when he is in the Batman costume. It gets a little annoying. Overall, best movie of the year so far. And best superhero/comic book portrayal yet.
I saw it last night at warren (my first time there and was impressed) and the movie was pretty amazing. Some parts were drug out a bit but the the only gripe. A def must see.
I ordered tickets for Harkins on Movietickets.com at about 4:30 yesterday. We went to the 9:40 showing. We got there at 7:30. We were one of the first one's in the theatre, but in the end it was packed. That was one of the best movies I have ever seen!!! The acting and special effects were amazing! Heath Ledger's Joker should be award winning. I wonder if they will make another one?
>Debate is already occuring as to who the villians are going to be
Holy Hoops Batman! it's Clayfoot and McBlendin
8^)
I guarantee you that somewhere out there, his family will be given a postmortem award for his performance as The Joker. Even if the man were still alive, he should be considered for this role in which he portrayed so perfectly. Make up department should get something too.
saw dark knight on friday at the warren... great movie. i agree that ledger's performance was great. he put a unique spin on the character and really made it 'his.' i really don't see how they can bring in somebody else to reprise the role... chances are such a performance would either come off entirely different or just be a cheap copy.

I stood in line last night to see the 10:50 showing at Harkins in BT. Now that I have seen it I can honestly say it was worth every second I stood in line forThe effects and realism are top notch. They kind of tinkered on the edge of telling too many things in one movie but still managed to pull it off. I WILL be going again to see this in a couple weeks once the lines have started to die down.
I saw it last night. All I can say is it is a real shame that Ledger passed away... I would have loved to have seen several Batman vs. Joker movies....
Isn't anything sacred anymore? No one ever talks about the first Batman movie, with Michael Keaton and Kim Basinger. I loved that movie, it had so many charming scenes.
"It's Japanese."
"How do you know?"
"Cause I bought it in Japan."
The dinner when they sat at opposite ends of that huge table. Loved it.
When Kim Basinger was dancing with Jack Nicholson and she said, "Purple... I love purple."
It just doesn't get any better than that.
And I almost forgot the greatest line of all, "This town needs an enema."
I'm anxious to take the family - but I cannot imagine waiting in line for hours just to see a movie that is going to be around for a long time. I can think of dozens of more important, fun, etc. things to be doing. But, to each their own.
I am considering taking the wife tomorrow or Tuesday during the day to avoid the crowds.
