It was knocked down by a storm a couple of weeks ago.
ouch, I had not noticed ....note to self...pay more attention to your alma mater when you drive by!
BTW, have to mention what it was called when I attended OCU. When I was given the freshman tour...my student tour guide called it "The Bishop's Last Erection"! I must say, I did pass that on to another freshman when I was a tour guide. Bad, Rena...bad!
Wow, I had never heard it reffered to as that when I was there.
Possibly not used now or when you were there. That was in 1969.
I guess the folks there didn't tithe enough!
protip: the united methodist church doesn't require tithing.

Smellytip: To a non-churchgoer....Offering = Giving a % of salary to the church = Tithing.

i've not been a part of any church that required tithing.
GOD says in the scriptures he wants 10 percent of what you make or grow.
I don't know of any church that requires tithing.
Unfortunately I have heard of one..... My aunt and uncle are members and one time their "dues" weren't received by the church and they were turned away... it was a few years back so I don't know if it's commonplace anymore, but....
and it's not Catholic..... just sayin' LOL
