Thread: More OKC Good News

Okay, not on the same scale as some of our recent positive articles but this really shouts...

"Dorothy, we're not in Kansas anymore"

    (or OKC)

I think this is too cool. Have they ever come here before?

Hey, don't apologize for this not being "on the same scale" as some other recent positive developments for our city---good news is good news. The Radio City Music Hall Christmas show is a prize attraction. I am puzzled though. The show plays at the Radio City Music Hall in New York from Thanksgiving until New Year's Day. So if they are to be here December 26-28 that means it must be a national touring company distinct from the New York production. I didn't realize they had touring companies. Anybody know about this?

Yes, I was confused as well when I went to the main website for tickets... it shows them playing in New York on the same days.

If you have groups of 10, you can buy now, other than that, you'll have to wait until Sept.

they've had touring companies for a while now... i was going to take my folks to one in Dallas a few years back, but the timing didn't work out... to my knowledge, it's the first time it's been in OKC...

i'm always surprised when "christmas shows" play after christmas, though!

I have a friend who has danced in the touring company - in fact she is preparing to audition again. Maybe she will make the cast that dances in OKC!

It is quite funny to see her at the gym . . . when it gets close to show time she will come in her heels and do lunges across the floor to prepare!

Was just in New York City in the last 3 weeks and toured Radio City Music Hall. Spoke with one of the Rockettes. There is the company that does the show in NYC, and there is the National Touring Company. They are different and distinct. Now some of the girls on the NYC company may have been on the touring show, and vice versa, but they are different. But the show is patterned after the original Xmas show. Should be a super show. I have heard a lot about it in years past. Hope to get to go.
