    ***TODAY***
I will be there around noon exercising six really friendly Great Danes on one leash. I won't be doing the walk because they only allow two dogs per human.

If I had know I would have stayed until noon! There were 3 Great Danes from the GD Rescue and those puppies were the size of miniature horses. I just cannot imaging walking 6 on one lead. Something I guess you just have to see to believe.

I vote success. The weather was outstanding. It was the first time for the event so it wasn't too big of an affair. I would say 10-20 booths, maybe 50 dogs and 75 people on the 1M fun walk, a dozen or so people on the 5k run, maybe 100-150 dogs in attendance around 11 when I left. The flyball team was pretty cool. The Rocky Spot Dalmation Rescue was there with 6 or 7 Dalmations. Neat to see so many in one place. There were two tripods in attendance (three-legged dogs). I also remember that a Rottweiler Rescue, a Great Dane rescue and a Boxer rescue were present.

Do you know where is the Great Dane Rescue located? I'd love to rescue one of those guys. Such nice dogs.

I love this picture from the page that you suggested. It is so clear that Great Dane owners really take a back seat to their dogs.

Frisky, have a picture of your 6 Danes?

lol...I love how really big dogs sit like that.

My friends and I also had a great time at Woofstock. The weather was perfect and not too much wind for the Frisbee events. I was really surprised how well all those dogs got along together. The aides from the Mustang Chamber of Commerce were very knowledgeable and answered several questions about the city of Mustang and the show. I should have asked them if this will this be a yearly event. I hope so, all the people in our group really had a wonderful time.

After the show several of us ate at the diner across the street (Tators?) Everyone in our group thought the food was great. Their onion rings were to die for.

One of the three legged dogs was a Great Dane. I don’t remember her name, but she seemed to be a lovable dog. A Great Dane named Zeus won the Biggest Dog contest. (hmm, imagine that…) Did you get your face painted at the Great Dane Rescue booth?  That rescue seemed to be raking in the money. I even pried open my billfold to help them and a couple of the other rescues out.

It was a male dog in a dress, as I remember it. The things dog owners do to their dogs!

The dogs in that picture are Apollo (right) and Zeus (left). Apollo is a dog from one of our litters and Zeus is the dog that won "biggest dog" at Woofstock.

Surprisingly I don't have any pictures of our herd all together, but while trying to find one I ran across a couple old pictures of our Danes that a dog bed company is using in their advertisement*.
    Kuranda dog beds
Purchased 8-years-ago and we still use those beds for the Danes to rest on during the daytime. They have held up extremely well considering our dogs have been known to destroy virtually anything they come in contact with.

    *Disclaimer
We are not employed by the Kuranda Company, nor have we ever received compensation** for the use of our pictures or comments.

    **Disclaimer’s disclaimer
Although I have always thought we should have been compensated and wouldn’t have turned it down if they had offered…

Ok! Now I believe you. I see from your website that you are a Great Dane breeder. I was wondering how anyone could handle 6 Great Danes in one family and still be able to have time for anything else. Just having two pups already takes quite a bit out of my time.

Anyway, those are some nice looking pups and apparently they own the couch at your house, both of them in fact.

Yes, they own all the couches and the big screen TVs. They love to lay on the couch, eat snacks and watch movies.

The black dog on the couch was our first GD “Turbo”. He is no longer with us due to hereditary medical problems. He was from a backyard breeder. We learned a very expensive lesson about why you should spend a little more to get a dog from a reputable breeder that guaranties healthy dogs and screens prospective dog owners instead of the $100 “good deal” that costs many thousands of dollars in medical bills, not to mention years of heartache as your pet’s health slowly deteriorates to the point it has to be euthanized. Turbo is the only dog of those original four we have lost in the last nine years; all the others are getting gray around their big fuzzy faces, but are still alive and healthy.

The other black dog is “Arrow”. Arrow came from the Great Dane Rescue and was literally hours from death when rescued. He is our most mellow Dane. I know this sounds strange, but he seems to be appreciative for being saved and brought into a loving home where he gets two square meals a day and lives in luxury.

I won’t bore anyone with stories about the other dogs living here; other than to say they are all AKC Show Champions and we wouldn’t trade any of them for the world.

    You have uncontrollable-mouse syndrome?

Trying to figure out exactly what is uncontrollable mouse syndrome, a google search and came up with this somewhat bizarre image.

    I hope this isn't mmonroe's problem.

Ok, this thread is going south. - I say enough.
