Thread: Restaurant closings

I am surprised OTB stayed open as long as it did. We used to go there for lunch fairly often and there was hardly ever more than a handful of tables at any given time. That place will be missed (I know, I know, it's not the top shelf cuisine, but there lunch menu was reasonable priced).

On the Border has been there since the 90s; don't think there was anything there before that, but could be wrong.

Before 1990, both of those were vacant lots (looking at aerials).
Brinker opened those two in 1994. Macaroni Grill and Grady’s American Grill.

Do you know when it switched to On the Border? Brinker owns them as well.

Looks like it became On The Border in 1996.

Just looked it up and that location converted to an OTB in 1996, so Grady's must have lasted only a year or two.

A few months ago while driving for Uber Eats, I was going there to pick up an order and didn't realize I had to turn in at Clark Crew... that missed turn cost me 5-10 minutes.

The number of comments about a rundown Tex mex chain restaurant closure, while living in OKC where you can find decent Tex mex places down every street, is a good reminder of the culinary pit we are in.
The Drake was an innovative staple in the core of the city and we just had a few comments on how is their closure possible as we like seafood and fine cuisine here !
Let s keep getting excited about On Cue expansion, the one with the beaver as a logo and also nice steak and potatoes houses for fancy outing.

Thank you, Urbanized on your input about the two other places in Bricktown .
