UGH. Total meltdown tonight. We just went so cold in that 4th quarter and I thought we really took our foot off the gas and let up the intensity.

The Thunder are an absolutely elite team but are so bewildered anytime a team doubles SGA/plays a zone defense. It’s so strange.
Lost iHart in the 3rd and blew the lead when their starting line up came back in and we didn’t have any rim protection on the second night of a back to back in which we beat them the previous night. That about sums it up.
there’s a reason almost all of our losses have come in games in which IHart and Chet were either out or didn’t finish.
Outscored 41-19 in the 4th.

Oklahoma City Thunder 46-11 @ Brooklyn Nets 21-36
Barclays Center, Brooklyn
TV: FanDuel Oklahoma - 6:30 PM
Horrible. This team should never blow a 24 point 4th Qtr lead. Up 16 with 3:55 left. Also no way there were 18,203 like Espn says. Could we try filling the Paycom center just once for a mid week game. All around Horrible Don't want to see Dallas in the first round please how about we don't see Minneaota in the first round. Blew 19 point second Qtr last game in like 4 minutes. Blew a 16 point lead tonight in 4 minutes. HORRIBLE
Freaking attendance rain man. Few games actually have 18,203 people in seats and 100% turnstile sellouts during the week are probably pretty rare around the league.
it was a good crowd tonight, figured it would’ve been empty in the 4th quarter when we were up 20 but was surprised at home many people were still there.
That was an epic meltdown, I'm sure we win with either Chet or Ihart but still no excuse for blowing a 21 point lead in the 4th.
Tons of wide open 3's and missed shots. It's like they can't make anything if SGA is doubled.
If this were a playoff game I'd be pretty concerned but we've got plenty of time and still not at full strength with Chet yet.
Still, I'm not sure how many championship teams collapse like that. On home court to boot.
They'll learn from it and move on, hopefully a performance that doesn't get repeated later on.
It’s not like the double team always works on SGA though. It did last night though because the supporting cast couldn’t pick up the slack when he gets that kind of attention. Last night, the my were missing some open looks. Also, defensively we gave them some critical And-1’s which they knocked down.
Boston was at full strength and blew a 30 point lead to a bad Atlanta team last season and then lost to them again 3 nights later. They had one and two days of rest ahead of those two games. They won the NBA Championship last season.
it was a bad loss but in 82 games, it happens. The panic takes on this across the internet are getting hilarious. Those same guys missing shots at the end of the second night of a back to back were the same ones making those shots the night before. Everyone acts like doubling SGA or playing zone defense is some revalation in strategy that always works…if it did…teams would do it all the time and we would’ve lost a lot more than 11 games. Teams try that stuff all the time and get destroyed but sometimes, especially when the Thunder are down personnel and tired, it works. The main issue last night was defense without a center. It also seems like playing zone and doubling SGA has been much more effective when both Chet and iHart are out.
At the end of the day, the team has lost 11 games and just lost on the second night of a back to back. Aside from it being ugly, it isn’t that big of a deal.
Oh please there were at least 20 empty seats in Loud city in every section espcially behind the baskets even in club level empties Do we want to be an NBA city or not. League MVP, Best record in the NBA, and we still can't get people in seats. Why? What is it? Do people think it's too expensive? Do people just don't have extra money to spend? Does the city not seem to care?
OKC went 2/20 from 3 last night in the 4 quarter & overtime.
They missed their last 13 3PAs
Also don't want to hear this game didn't matter. I might matter if Game 1 of the NBA finals is in Cleveland and not in OKC. Only time will tell.
This is exactly what the Mavs did in the playoffs last season. This team and roster are better than last years so I doubt it would be as effective this year but teams will definitely bet on OKC’s role players to make the necessary plays when the time comes. The playoffs will be really interesting.
when were there 20 empty seats in every section? In the 4th quarter when we were up 20? Still thought that there were a bunch of people there then.
tRhe tickets sold…it was a sell out. if people don’t want to go on a Monday night and waste their tickets then that’s on them. The constant complaining about attendance when there is no reason to be concerned about it is dumb and tiresome.
Good points & pointing out Boston last year.
I was hoping someone could reference something like that.
I’m not really worried as we almost certainty win if Chet is full strength anyhow.
But if we don’t win it all this might be a game we point back to as a little alarming.
Newsflash Cleveland plays in the Eastern Conference. Whey does anyone think they will fall apart and OKC will pass them in the standings. I hear it on the radio from time to time also. THEY IN THE EAST Outside Boston and Cleveland does any other team in the East make the playoffs top 6? https://www.tankathon.com/remaining_schedule_strength Cleveland 20th easiest Schedule Thunder 11th. No we not going to win every game but do you not want home court in the NBA finals?
Also there was a time when Thunder were one of the hardest tickets too get what changed? https://www.forbes.com/sites/kurtbad...ket-right-now/
I'm still not buying stock in Dever just yet. Good win last night vs the Pacers but look at their "9" game winstreak. Hornets twice, Pelicans twice, Trailblazers twice, Suns, Magic. MEH. Physcial teams I worry the most about for the Thunder. Dallas, Timberwolves and LeBron, Luka can be not sure the rest of that team can be. There really is no 2nd beat team in the west. There is 2-5 and 6-10 two groups
Right now I can almost see the Clippers as the 8 seed first round.
Let's look at every team's weakness. Denver-Bench, Lakers-Defense/Rim Protection, Grizzles-youth starting 2 rookies, Houston-Offense, Minnesota-Randle and Gobert they are better without those two but won't change. Warriors-Depth, Dallas-not sure yet maybe health. Thunder-Physical teams. I still taking the Thunder to NBA finals but teams are going to force SGA to give up the Ball and make someone else beat us. I still say that somone else is Chet but only time will tell.
Although I am "deeply distressed" that we threw away a win last night, I think it is better than getting rolled by a tanker. Those games where we sashay in against someone like the Washington Wizards and wind up looking like we're the Washington Generals against the Harlem Globetrotters. I think this version of the Thunder are pretty good about beating the teams we should beat.
This is what teams that want to be beat OKC have been trying to do all year. That is the game plan.
Thus far, the result is Shai leading the league in average scoring (32.4 pts) and 11 losses for the team at the end of February. And something like the highest or near highest net rating in the history of the NBA to this point.
You bitch about a few hundred unoccupied seats on a Monday night in February, and at the same time drag that very team that has a .807 record and an 9 game lead in the conference 3/4 of the way through the season.
