It so fun to go back and look at Morgan's Post. 2-4 inches for the Metro Ponca City 6 inches Drifts 2 to 3 feet. Yeah swing and a mess. I'll give him credit though he does try to swing for the fence and if it would of been bad he would of been right
A storm tracker for KWTV said he thought it snowed more in Stillwater than in Tonkawa. That town is not too far from Ponca City. In Stillwater, the Tuesday storm was worse on the streets than the previous snowstorm of several inches, since there was more ice than snow. Consequently, trash trucks didn't run in Stillwater. USPS and UPS couldn't make some deliveries. Surely the same can be said of other towns.
I hope this is the final record-breaking cold spell for the winter. Hopefully, March won't freak out, too, though on at one long ago occasion I remember the low during the first half of March got down to 9.
OSU has canceled classes Thursday.
Most of the state should be above-freezing for the first time since Tuesday by this time tomorrow. Then won't go back below-freezing for at least the next week with highs in upper 60's and low 70's.
There is another storm system that will move through around 3/1 that right now looks like rain. Let's hope we get some big rains in March.
