Good news, Cason Wallace isn't listed on the injury report. Ajay Mitchell will probably be re-evaluated the second week of March.

Such crap they are playing at 8:30 for tv reasons and than again at 7 tomorrow. I guess It's the same for both teams but really stupid. Important 2 games for the Thunder just too make a statement to Minnesota that says hey you can't beat us as the 8 seed.

Very true, but if this team is as Clutch and as Southern as we think it is, it should be able to play well and win both of these games.

The Thunder are historically 91-47 against the Wolves.

I find this surprising. It seems like Minnesota always has their number.

This is always a tough game to watch. I was raised a Wolves fan.

Gutsy road win against one of the only teams that had truly gotten the better of the Thunder this season.

Caruso sure picked a good night to get hot from the 3-pt line!

Also, can anyone explain the NBA scheduling process to me? We played the Wolves just before the break in Minnesota, then we played them again in Minnesota shortly after the break, and now we’re playing them again tonight? But then we’d played a team like the Mavs four times this season but we don’t play again for the rest of the season. Just seems odd to me.

I think that when scheduling 82 games for 30 teams while trying to avoid weird travel scenarios and make sure each team plays 14 of those teams 4 times and the other 15 twice…they inevitably do some stupid things lol.

The Thunder plays the Nuggets on March 9th and 10th. Both of those games are here in OKC. We also play the Lakers on the 6th and 8th of April at home. I've been a season ticket holder since 2008 and for the Hornets the two years they were here. Can't say I have ever seen anything like this. I think it was last year or the year before when we started having back to back home games. The 6 home games we had between the 1st and the 12th of February was brutal to someone like me who goes to almost all of the home games.

Thunder are 2-1 against them this season and people seem to think Minnesota has dominated.

We have a few of our reserves breaking out on different nights and Holmgren & Hartenstein need to get more reps together, Thunder should be in great shape to finish out
    the season.

I got to see the Lakers play the Nuggets Saturday. This Lakers team with Doncic and other new players is really, really good. They are totally different that they were 2 months ago. It looked like they were toying with the Nuggets keeping a lead of 9-11 points and each time Denver shaved a few off the lead, LA would hit 3-point bombs. LA dominated the Nuggets. I think OKC can handle Denver because Denver's bench isn't very good but LA plays very tpugh defense and will be very tough competition.

Agree. They could actually end up being the real problem. Those two home games against them in April should serve as a good barometer as to how the Thunder would match up against them in the playoffs.

Might be good if they can move up into the other side of the bracket.

I think it was in "Tall Tales" by Terry Pluto, which is an excellent oral history of the early decades of the NBA, where I read about scheduling in that era. The early NBA was mainly arena owners in the northeast, who were also NHL owners, and wanted something to fill dates besides hockey, ice capades and college basketball. NBA scheduling was controlled by, or the burden of, the arena/team operator in New York (or Philadelphia, I'm fuzzy on that). Universally respected, his "system" was that every team owner would write down their unavailable dates on a piece of paper and give it to him at league meetings. He would cram all of those in his suit coat pocket and take them home with him. Then he would lock himself in his office, throw out all the notes, and come up with the schedule. Which the other owners decided must be some kind of alchemy.

I'm not sure anything is different nowadays.

they’ve been good at times but they are not going to be consistently good on defense, especially not in the paint. Either our two big lineups or small ball lineups should be able to tear them apart and be a wall on defense.

Not sure if April will be a barometer or not. If things keep going this way, we’re going to be between 7-12 games ahead of second place. This team hasn’t done it yet but that close to the playoffs, they very well might start limiting minutes.
