Plans were just filed for the connector between the barns and the new coliseum.
This was to be included in the original MAPS program but had to be cut due to cost overruns. Not sure of the funding source but the fairgrounds itself makes a ton.
The Gateway of Champions Promenade is a new 73,250 square-foot building that will be constructed in the location of the existing Norick Arena, once the new Fairgrounds Coliseum is complete and the Norick Arena is demolished. The building is comprised of a dirt-floor warm-up area, expo hall, and support spaces.

Is there going to be a path thru this for the people that park on the south side of the railroad tracks, or are people just going to have to walk all the way around the new arena? It looks like Delmar Gardens Ave that went in and connected to Gordon Cooper is going to be blocked off by all this and it always seems like lots of people enter the State Fair right there.
