Thread: New Capitol Hill MS (SE 25th and High)

South OKC New Capitol Hill MS (SE 25th and High)

there is considerable land clearing and dirt work on a what appears to be an industrial size tract of land on the NW corner of SE 25th and high. the area is zoned industrial so it wouldn't surprise me if this is an industrial nave building or truck yard. but i wonder what exactly is happening there...???

I did some digging... It would appear that this will be a new location for Pull-A-Part. It's unclear whether or not the plan is to relocate from their existing facility at SE 15th and Santa Fe Ave to this location, or if it's simply a new, second location. That said, there's a LOT more land at the new location for expansion.

I would be surprised if they 'moved' their existing facility. I assume they would have both open for a while until the existing inventory is exhausted.

That is unless they truly plan to operate two facilities not that far from each other.

Would be great if they have a buyer for their existing property, right next to the new OG&E bank...

Isn't OKC 'requesting' them to move out of their current location?

This will be the new location for the Wheeler-Capitol Hill Middle School.

curious why they're calling it Wheeler when it's not any where close to WD?

Capital Hill should be (and is) unique enough to warrant it's own branding. BTW, the school renderings look great, just wondering why they dont have stands in the stadium areas.

Wheeler Elementary School IIRC is one of the feeder schools to Capitol Hill Middle School. Also, I believe OKC Schools are phasing out the 5th year centers.

As far as the stands, many of the Middle Schools football programs play at the high school stadiums because of the additional costs associated with equipping those fields with equipment and scoreboards.
