I see 3-4 Cybertrucks daily around me due to Gaillardia proximity. There's a guy down the street but in a different neighborhood that has a camo wrapped one & also a model Y camo wrapped not sure if that's hers or what but the camo wrap on it at least makes it look interesting. Like a futuristic humvee. Teslas in general are a dime a dozen around here now. Looks like slashing prices has them on the right course. I used to hold a little Tesla stock just to keep up should probably pick up a little again after last week.
There is always that one at The Edge in Midtown. It's so goofy looking with the wrap.
And the world is not Oklahoma.
EVs are much more popular in Europe and Asia and on our two coasts.
And those 24 are available in the USA market.

There's at least 10 that I know of in my neighborhood and only a couple of those are silver. The rest are wrapped white, black, matte black, green, and camo. I think they look best in black but they're so common now the novelty has worn off for me.
VW bought the rights to IH Scout several years ago and just had an event showing their truck and SUV models. They look great and have legitimate off road capability. The most interesting thing is the 'Harvester' option which adds a small gasoline engine that will only turn a generator to recharge the batteries thereby extending the standard range from 300+ to 500 miles. It will operate almost identically to a railroad diesel electric locomotive.

Just pulled the trigger and ordered my first electric since my lease is coming due early next March. I came here for some info initially which was helpful! I'm going to miss the sound of my ICE it's literally my favorite vehicle of all time but I'm also excited to get this electric rocketship here & quit paying for gas :
Although the base price on vehicle was more expensive the 7500 credit applies to leases so it's actually lowering my monthly payment vs any gas equivalanets + i'll save 200-300/mo on gas I estimate & more if the market picks back up compared to last couple years.
I'm very interested in which vehicle you ended up with, the cost of insurance, how the batteries wear in hotter climates like ours and how accurate a car which claims it has a 300+ mile range is going to really be. I do most of my work in central Oklahoma, but a few times a year, I have to go out to farther flung places like Guymon, Stillwell, Bartlesville, Altus and Idabel.
I ordered a bmw i4 m50. Range on the 19" tires is 267 miles. From all my research that's pretty accurate with some getting close to 300 depending on conditions/driving. BMW has always been known to underrate stated performance and that's true on this electric as well. Cost of insurance was like an extra $100/year over similar BMW 540. I'm really not at all worried about the battery, I should easily be able to get 200/mi on a charge regardless how hard I drive it & conditions. It comes with free charging from electrify america as well that has a few convenient options around OKC (penn square mall for one). Even if I have to put on a quick charge once in a while I think there's enough places now that it wouldn't be a big deal. In the event I make a Dallas or Tulsa trip I'd have to charge somewhere but even then I think I could probably get to Tulsa and back.
Yeah, Tulsa and back is no biggie--and a fairly short jaunt. A lot of my trips east have be hitting the Tulsa metro about 7AM en route to a 9AM hearing.
There's a supercharger station on I-44 at the Stroud exit and I see charging stations anywhere I need to go, but at 300ish miles, I can make a round trip just about anywhere besides Guymon, Idabel, Altus, etc.
If it wasn't BMW I wouldn't have even considered electric but it's literally the exact same chassis as the normal 4 series. That's true on the 5 & 7's as well. I didn't stay in a 5 series for one just because the new one is so large now & saving a few hundred a month all around was too good to pass up.
Really though it's the exact same BMW driving experience in terms of handling, m sport chassis, etc. Interior to a T is the exact same. I drove the m440 and wasn't even close to as quick. They also did a hans zimmer sci fi sounding noise experience that really helps the overall experience IMO esp in sport mode. It's so quiet and smooth though. All the luxury and classic elements retained with lightning quick electric performance.
Man those rule. I might hold onto my current car until these come out. I love that.
