Thread: Classen Storage

    Classen Classen Storage

Yet another of these corrugated steel storage buildings planned, this time for NW 7th & Classen.

The last photo shows a recent, similar building constructed on Reno next to the 4 'East Bricktown' hotels. It's hideous, and another is under construction on the I-44 frontage road just west of Penn. They look like backyard metal sheds.

I lease at the location above on Reno. General experience has been good but the elevator has been out of service for about a month now so hopefully they get that fixed soon.

Not the most ideal development. Is this in any design district?

No, for whatever silly reason, design review is only on the east side of Classen.

Construction crews are preparing to demo the old building at this site. It looks like they may also be working on the alleyway.

Gotta love when a storage facility has better urban form than a restaurant...

Not sure what they were having to do to the old structure here, but it is finally being demolished. They had to cover it up with some kind of blue substance before the demo could continue. Does anyone know what this might have been for?

    Asbestos, possibly.
