Looks like Red Lobster closing 23 additional locations. None in Oklahoma. Being bought by credit group that owns a few other chains

Yeah, the owner passed away and the family didn't want to continue. They closed 12/31/22.

I’m not sure it worths reporting but the Tom & Chee on South Western had closed. I think it was fast food but I have never been.
It will be replaced by Bahn Mi baguette. Sign is already up. Sounds much more exciting to me.

that doesn't surprise me... i never saw many customers there. our office ate there a couple of times, and i felt that it was a bit overpriced for what they offered.

There is still a Tom & Chee at Penn and Memorial... they make a great grilled cheese, but it's still just a grilled cheese. I don't see a lot of customers at this location either.

Couldn't find a thread, so posting here. Chicken Shack is taking over the Drum Room space on Western.

I noticed they were putting up the new sign yesterday when I drove by. Probably won't take them long to get open. Heard through a friend that they are doing a full bar and plan on having live music.

The Roosevelt Room has closed. I was really wanting to cheek this place out as it looked like it had some tasty food.

Glamour has effectively closed and is now private event only, like City + State.

I always worry about these places that are so tucked away. That's a big issue with the Vault at FNC.

I wonder how Lunar Lounge is doing these days?

So that's 3 places now recently transitioned to private/special event only (the other being the former Sunset Patio). No way that model is even profitable right? I'm assuming it's just a low overhead way to make some extra cash while they sit on the property.

For the record I think Lunar Lounge does very well, and I’m there pretty often. Library of Distilled Spirits (vault at FNC) I believe also does fine, thanks in part to the attached hotel, plus the constant weddings and other events in FNC. HOWEVER, I’m limiting that assessment to the front part. The back half (probably closer to 2/3 of the total square footage) is rarely activated, tragically. I’m hopeful Coury can rethink the way this space is programmed and marketed. They have a similar space in the Wichita Ambassador that is always packed, in my experience.

When you see this conversion it means two things: 1) the operator is on the line for a multi-year lease; and/or 2) the operator has invested a bunch of their own money in improvements and doesn't want to just walk away.

Alma in Midtown has already closed. That didn't last long.

Just read that! Although, from the few people I know that visited said the pizza was absolute trash.

That whole Eastpoint development is really struggling, even after getting millions in TIF. And the TIF money was given upfront in this case, which meant the City also had to incur borrowing costs.

The proposed hotel across the street by the same development group (Pivot) has failed to materialize, despite being granted $3.88 in conditional TIF.

It definitely was! It is closing due to lack of traffic, I am surprised it lasted 2 years
