My Girlfriend went last week and had reserved a two top in the bar. They were just going to grab a lite dinner and some drinks. The hostess seemed to think she could just sit them in the main area, but this Chef Black told her that is not acceptable because they had an 11 top coming. So they had to get up and move. They were not impressed with the food or the service. That being said, they both love Black Walnut and go at least once a month. It sounds like they rushed the Opening of Perle Mesta and it is in a bit of chaos right now.

We were very unimpressed with Ramsay's Kitchen, so I'd rather not Bayless do what Ramsay's doing here.

We had a friend back in town, and we all made a reservation for a group of us for brunch on Sunday a few weeks back. They were severely short staffed, and our server said she was called in and usually only works dinner. Our reservation was for 11am on Sunday. we all arrived and ordered a drink at the bar before being shown our table. we were standing at bar and looking at the menu and it was breakfast menu. they weren't able to get us seated till about 11:30 but we had cocktails and were chatting, and nobody was in a rush. we were seated and given lunch menus. they don't offer Brunch and breakfast evidently was over. the server said she would ask the kitchen if we could order Breakfast, but the request was denied. the lunch menu wasn't that impressive. we will most likely give it some time before we return.
