Thread: Oklahoma City Trivia (Game)

  1. Default Oklahoma City Trivia (Game)

I thought it might be neat to play Oklahoma City trivia. My first question is actually under the Oklahoma City memories thread. However, here is the first one here.

An Oklahoma City man had a top ten hit around 1968 that charted both country and top 40. Name the man and the name of the song.

I will entertain some other guesses then reveal the answer.

I can't remember the song but would it have been Vince Gill?

  5. Default Re: Oklahoma City Trivia (Game)

    I'd guess Henson Cargill's "Skip a Rope."

Oh, listen to the children while they play
Now ain't it kinda funny what the children say
    "Skip a rope..."

I actually still have this record (Monument 1041).

    We have a winner!

    OK. Someone else's turn.

I would guess either Bill or Larry Mathis.

I believe it's Hobby Lobby's David Green. He's replaced the late Ed Gaylord as OKC's lone billionaire.

    Yes.

Next question. I bet this is a tough one.

On the "Ho Ho show," he featured his daughter in an occasional role as hostess. What was her characters name?

No takers on Ho-Ho? The question is still open.

Here is another. There was a brewery in Oklahoma City in the 60's, and possibly into the 70's. What brand was brewed there?

  13. Default Re: Oklahoma City Trivia (Game)

The old Progress Brewery was bought out by (I think) Lone Star.

We have a winner. Actually, my dad owned a big chunk of Lone Star at that time. So, that is how I knew it.

    Any guesses on Ho-Ho's daughter?
