Her ideas are bad and lead to bad results in reality.
62% in and it's still holding steady at 70/30. Pretty massive vindication for the mayor.
Now please don't put this on the myraid location!
It paycom is small, how is the new arena gonna be bigger better world class if you build it on top of a 50 year old underground parking garage?
So any prediction on the time-line? City officially announces old cox site within within 6 months? PS kicked our a year from now to start utilities work?
It is actually a world class road in terms of its engineering it’s a great road. But I know what you mean. It was never “supposed” to be a “world class” road in terms of what Friends for a Better Boulevard proposed or thought it should be. How on earth did anyone expect or think ODOT was going to build a road truly designed to foster a walkable urban environment on their own? That’s not a good example. People(on this board mainly) just reacted negatively to the design when it was released.
Honestly given the way it is now they either should went all the way to a freeway or a true European style urban boulevard. What we now is a half assed road built to go 60 but signed at 25. I’ve already received traffic citations on it because it feels like you’re going too slow at 25. To fix it will require pretty much significant changes to its width and the roundabout idea a former poster here presented was really cool.
Looking forward to arguing about the eventual renderings.
Prarie Surf will get leveled, demo the underground parking and they would start from scratch. That's the location that makes the most sense.
Great news!!! OKC voters know what’s up. Great job OKC. Now let’s see a site and renderings.
Pottawatomie County voting is cracking me up
3500.posts deep by the end of the night and we don't even know anything about the arena lol. This thread will be insane by the time we break ground in 2-3 years.
