I hope it passes today so we can just move on to being super demanding pricks about hiring a great architect.

I just need this to be pretty y'all

And bigger cup holders! The new ones in the Paycom aren’t deep enough. That’s the real issue here

Couldn't agree more. Those cupholders are an absolute joke, they are basically asking us to spill our beer!

So you'll have to go buy another one. More profit!!! The city is pretty sly on this one.....

There are people who are opposed to this that surprise me, people who support MAPS typically.

People like JoBeth would never support this ever under any circumstances. I am more concerned by reactions I am seeing from other people whom I would assume would easily understand the importance of this initiative to the city’s present and future status.
You and me both. Concerned and surprised.

The cup holders will probably get "Valued Engineered" at the last minute to back to what we have now. MAPS for cupholders! lol

Dreamed last night that when I woke up, heard the news that the arena vote passed:

    52% - Yes
    48% - No

Well hopefully it plays out like it has on the poll here so far. Seems like those against it, as with MAPS, are a small but vocal minority.

Thr problem is, most on here are educated on the topic, so scary words like $1,600 tax burden per citizen doesn't phase them. Thinking only OKC citizens will be paying the tax doesn't scare them, because they know better.

True but the same could be said of the last 3 of these and they've all passed. Just hoping that carries over.

I'd be more concerned if the margin was closer here but right now it's at 86/14 YES among people who say they can/will vote on it. I expected it to be much much closer than that on this board after all the no arguments that have been made.

How the hell else can you pay for this thing?!?! Need at least a spillage rate of 60% and a subsequent a repurchase to make a dent!

Dang! That's what the campaign should have been all along

    Big Cup City!

Mayor Holt was just on the radio. He said early voting turnout was about 100% higher than MAPS 4. Don't know if that's good or bad for passing but I hope it's good.

Planning to go at lunch, but from friends that went this morning, (this is all anecdotal at least but sounds like Holt's message bears this out) it was much busier than I expected it would be. And personally think that high turnout is good for passage. Just doesn't seem like there was enough organized opposition on a widespread basis for there to be an unexpectedly high turnout of no votes. My biggest fear was apathy/low turnout across the board, giving the No's a chance. Sounds like the first part of that has not taken place, but we'll see.

Would assume higher turnout is helpful for the yes campaign.

Given that the Yes campaign has a far, far, far more coherent GOTV campaign than the No campaign, I'd say it bodes pretty danged well for the Yes campaign.

Hope everyone can agree to not talk about MAPS 5 anytime soon because that will be over decade away.

I haven't really seen/heard of the No Campaign outside of people mentioning it here and random accounts on social media. While every time I drive to work/go to the gym I see "Vote YES" signs/commercials. Anecdotal, but still.

A guy supposedly from the organized "No" campaign was on KWTV this morning. *I* could have articulated his position better than he did.

Voted yes about two hours ago.

I just spoke to a coworker about how the No campaign is horrible at trying to get their point across.

I voted yes, but concerned about our dependence on the NBA.
