Most denominations have tenents of faith that don't change congregation by congregation. Independent congregations do. CofC are independent and autonomous churches, aren't they? But, I believe all have the same basic sets of beliefs they profess to adhere to as CofC members.
I think more of the smaller towns have the ideology. I’ve heard of CoC in larger towns cities have music in their services.
I believe all services have now stopped pending the upcoming renovations.

I believe l am correct is saying this - many C of Cs were previously Congregational churches which were basically independent churches. The Congregational churches had no real central governing body or overriding theology. Those that were a little more mainstream may have converted to the C of C while the more liberal may have become Unitarian.
C of Cs have a governing body so ministers could have things like retirement accounts - l am sure there are many theological reasons l am not aware of but l believe they still have a lot of independence.
They are still doing tons of work to the interior.
They also filed to add more parking after the Church of Christ had completely reworked the lot and added a big grassy area since they had so few cars. Now, that area will be converted back to parking.
Grand opening is May 26th.
