    Enid’s Woodring Airport set to see some runway reconstruction as part of some grants awarded by the state:

    Enid Woodring Regional Airport also had a project approved by the Commission. Phase 1 of the project consists of reconstructing the airport’s crosswind runway, which will be used by local and transient general aviation traffic. Based on bids, the total project cost is $2,429,065, and will be funded with $2,186,158 of federal grant funds, $121,453 of state grant funds, and $121,454 of sponsor matching funds.

    Right. I thought it strange that your Stillwater/OSU Projects subject title got moved from the Suburban and Other OK Communities section to here. Several other Oklahoma cities are in this section, too. But some of the authors, including myself, wrongly put them there.

    Looks like Enid may get a nice sized bowling alley and movie theatre. I wonder if it’ll be a Showbiz. Not many details out at the moment.

    Great for Enid and NW Oklahoma. With the permanent closing of AMC in the Oakwood Mall, the nearest movie theatre I think was Kingfisher or Stillwater, quite a void for a town of 50,000+.

    Downtown Enid and its neighborhood of Tudor or storybook homes got a good review by someone whose goal is to do videos on towns in all 50 states.
