The Omni has day passes for $26 for adults and it gets you access to the pool, hot tub and that's about it. And that pool is very small compared to this.

Hurricane Harbor is always packed when I’m there. I highly doubt they go out of business. If anything maybe this will get them to invest more in the park.
If they try to charge $130/day/person they won't be around long. They better hope they do an awesome hotel business.
I don't think you're a cheapskate. That is quite expensive. A family of four is going be paying $500.00 just for entry for a day. That's a lot of money for most Oklahomans.
I don't think it's so much money that the facility fails to draw patrons. Anecdotally, many many families in the OKC Metro will gladly drive down to Texas for Great Wolf Lodge and are paying as much, plus cost of travel and lodging. I do anticipate this will be more for tourism than locals. I hope they do something to make it more affordable for those of us who live nearby.
At $130 a head I'm sure my family won't be going regularly, but I assume we'll go at least once a summer. Plus, the benefit of paying more is that the experience will be premium. The worst part about White Water is that people will buy their tweens a season pass and then use White Water Bay as a sort of day-care. The lines can be crazy long at WWB and it can feel really overwhelming. At ~$130 a head, users at Okana should be able to enjoy the facilities with some breathing room.
Who knows how they will price it? It's a little early and their pricing is going to be determined by the market.
Dallas metro is obviously a lot bigger, but worth noting that they have both a Great Wolf Lodge and a Hurricane Harbor down there as well (and within 10-15 minutes of each other). Given how this will pull in people not just from OKC but Tulsa and other OK towns, I think both will be able to survive just fine.
Great Wolf is also a resort. They don't really want day pass people.
I would do 70 at OKANA if the waterpark is on par with Great Wolf. Still a lot cheaper than traveling down to Texas.
Edit: Worth mentioning that Kalahari is 140 dollars for a day pass on a summer weekend. I think its a safe bet that they price high to keep crowds to a manageable levels for the guest that are actually staying.
I don't see any reason why OKANA wouldn't be competitive.
Have any plans for the water park been released? How would it compare to Hurricane Harbor and Frontier City Water Park attraction wise?
I seen the plans on the building permit site. Okana has a wave pool, lazy river, elevated play structure(similar to what frontier city has), wave rider machine, smaller kids area, slides, and a water coaster? The outside has slides, a big lagoon pool, an floating obstacle course, and swim up bar.
So much bigger than frontier city and probably on par with hurricane harbor?
Okana will also have the entertainment center that will be part of the package
The difference maker will be that OKANA will be able to be open year around. I can already see it, Christmas at OKANA, lol.
It’s just so weird that there isn’t a casino attached. I get why, but still
A Casino would greatly change the mood of the place and sadden the experience. I just went to the Choctaw Casino in Durant for a concert, the facilities are nice, but the casino crowd was depressing to see.
This is meant to be a family resort.
This will be a family resort marketed towards soccer moms & business trip dads, with 3 kids and a dog.
