This is a glorious map - first time in possibly a year that it has been this green
Most of this will be late Friday night. Strong north winds will accompany this, especially after the rain moves out. The rest of the weekend looks fantastic. Great weather for the runners on Sunday.
Longer range GFS showing northwest flow dominates for a while. Next weekend looks like another potential wash out. Good southwesterly flow with classic dry line setups looks possible the second week of may but we’ll see if that materializes. Hopefully we can get some nice waves of rain in central Oklahoma as most of the longer range stuff looks to affect southern and eastern Oklahoma. That’s a long way out though.

Models are really tapering off the wrap-around rain amounts for this evening. Looks like majority of the state will just see some quick passing showers except for far SE OK where it cranks up.
Cold north winds coming in behind the rain.
What’s the skinny on next weekend? Planning a camping trip but the models are flip flopping like crazy right now.
I would expect Thursday to have a severe risk outlined by the SPC tomorrow. Beyond that, fairly low predictability but it does seem like more storms will be possible at some point next weekend.
