Good tweet by Brandon Rahbar (the Joker did not play):
OKC ends the Nuggets' 9 game win streak.
OKC beats the West's #1 seed.
OKC give the NBA's best home team their 4th loss at home.
Course this game comes with a big asterisk as one of the teams was missing a certain Serbian 7 footer.
Get well soon, Poku.
Thunder have been fortunate to be on a leveled playing field when they play teams with two key starters out.
Don't want to take anything away from the players--these guys want the team to be successful. They stay focused on
the team effort. You know once they get behind on the scoreboard; they are going to fight to get back and make a game
game of it.
And thanks for reminding me Okatty, we have players out: Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, Aleksej Pokusevski (Poku) and Chet Holmgram,
two of which (JRE and Holmgram) probably would have been starting for the Thunder.
Don't forget, we trounced a full-strength team in Boston, without Shai.
.
The OKC Thunder have passed a lot of tests, now another is in front of them:

Anyone still loathe GSW? I don't think I will ever not think of them as a villain team--no matter the roster. Can't seem to forgive how they usurped our rise 10 years ago. For me, my most despised team in all of sports--both pro and college--still!
Don't like them. But Durant didn't have the loyalty he said he did, takes 2 to tango.

“I mean, we definitely feel it when the crowd’s packed like it was tonight,” Giddey said postgame. “As a young team, it’s easy to get ahead of yourselves. We’ve been playing good the last month or whatever — there’s still such a long way to go in the season, just taking it one day at a time.”
.
This team will be in the playoffs. I have been very impressed with JDub. I feel a trade of Bazely and Tre Mann is incoming to get some more pieces/picks.
J-Dub should legitimately be a Rookie of the Year candidate.

Oklahoma City Thunder @ Houston Rockets

Bally Sports Oklahoma, 7:00 P.M.
As of today, team is 4.5 games from the West #3 seed and 4.5 games from the #5 pick. Can’t remember the last time the league had this level of parity. Makes it much more interesting.
Houston Rockets (12-38) are up next. November 26, they beat the Thunder 118-105 at the Toyota Center.
This match-up will be a challenge since this series will have back-to-back games in Houston (W-February)
and OKC on SA-February 4.and W-February 15 in Paycom Center.
Thunder are 24-26 with 32 games remaining on the schedule with a final home series game vs the Rockets
February 15. Would be nice to get a Presti Top 6-10 draft pick for 2023-24 season to welcome the return of
Chet Holmgren's rookie season..
For subscribers to The Athletic there is a very good article on the Thunder today by Anthony Slater titled “How the Thunder went from rebuild to fringe Play-In contender: ‘It’s starting to take shape’”
