this is a venn diagram of 'restaurants that are open' and 'restaurants named venn pizza':

math jokes aside, sorry to hear things didn't work out for them.

Just a little interesting bit I read, the Steak and Ale concept is being revived by a company called Endeavor Properties. Their exclusive area includes Oklahoma but the first location will be in Minnesota.

The pizza wasn't great and they literally never had a crowd. I am surprised they kept it open this long.

I'm almost within walking distance of them but still never went solely because of reviews like yours. Everyone I know that tried it seemed to give it a "it's all right" rating and there's just too many other options for that to be enough.

We tried it twice and thought it was very mediocre both times. I mean it wasn't bad but it wasn't anything worth driving from Edmond and there is much better pizza around town. We did enjoy the service there, but. . .

Same, I was never impressed with their pizza but to open for a year and 6 months is pretty impressive, most pizzas places close in 3 months if it does not do well

Zios on Meridian has closed. Per a sign posted on their door, they have "ceased operations." I think that was the last Zios in OKC? We hadn't been in years, with it's ever increasing prices and meh offerings. Can't say I'm surprised.

Interestingly, Fudd's had announced plans for an OKC location back in 2006. Searching for updates on that development is how I discovered OKCTalk.
That was supposed on to be on I-240 at Penn Plaza, and they even had a business phone at one point, but things inexplicably stalled and eventually fell through. Charleston's sits on the site.

Can't get to their website so that might have been it.

The last Zio's in Tulsa has also closed. I wonder if they have the same ownership if they were franchised.

They were originally owned by Mazzio's but were sold off years ago and Mazzio's then started Oliveto

Mazzio's/Zio's, it seems so obvious but I never would have guessed.

We frequented the Luby's at Britton and May, and at one time the manager there told us that the parent company of Luby's, which also owned Fuddruckers, was working on redesigning his location for their Luby's Fuddrucker's combination restaurants they had started working on during that time period. But obviously that stalled.

I am honestly surprised Oliveto has not been closed, their food is mediocre

That is a shame, it was pretty good back then

i mean i know more people who just go to mazzio's to get ranch, than i do pizza. literally went to a party for the NCAA Football national championship, where they got pizza from Hideaway, wings from Wing Stop, but tubs of ranch from Mazzios. said that was the only reason they ever went to mazzios.

I'm not sure if they still do it but I loved their Memphis Dry Rub Chicken wings. Their calzone rings are pretty good for the price I think, same for the cinnamon sticks. The normal pizzas aren't anything special though.

Love the thin crust with Ken's sauce at Mazzio's. Reminds me of my childhood.
