The city put down these big "stickers" on the sidewalks in Edgemere park asking for public feedback for the above. Good idea and I look forward to seeing what is eventually implemented.

While I have a bunch of pie in the sky ideas I'd love to see, starting with more regular mowing and focus on turf health/maintenance during the growing season would be my biggest wish.

MAPS 4 to host open houses for city-wide park improvement projects

MAPS 4 will host a series of public open house events to gather input for the Neighborhood and Community Parks Master Plan.


The City of Oklahoma City is inviting residents to share ideas on improvements to 105 community and neighborhood parks across Oklahoma City as a part of MAPS 4. Community input will guide consultants as they develop a master plan and assess current park conditions, accessibility, and potential expansion needs for neighborhood and community parks around Oklahoma City.

Just to clarify, this is only for the NW part of the city. There’s a map that breaks up the sections of the city and all will have meetings.

I made a brief stop at Memorial Park on Classen to get some steps in today, and noticed a sign with a QR code right at the entrance with a blurb about getting citizen input for the MAPS4 improvements.
