I will say I don't care, as there is nothing I can do about it. All I was saying to begin with, is even for Football games I prefer to not have the track. Look at Tulsa Union, Broken Arrow, Jenks; all don't have tracks around their football fields, it allows a more intimate setting for fans and players.

My other point, was that there appears to already be a Track and Field area across the street east of NW Classen HS where they could have put up some decent stands and cleaned up the grounds and it would be a better fit for track and field events as it is a full sized track.

HS regulation soccer is still wider than a football field.
American Football field: 120yd x 53 1/3yd
HS Soccer field: 100-120yd x 55-80yd

Plenty of room with the track there to be a couple yards wider than the football field.

And most HS fields mark both football and soccer lines. But not MLS lines. There are lines there already there for that. So i'm not sure what the point of that statement was.

I haven't been to a HS football field in years. I didn't know they're striped for HS soccer. So I was saying if they weren't there is plenty of room to stipe it a couple yards wider than the FB field.

Well pretty much all of the 6A schools and even quite a few of the 5A ones now, have turf and so when they put that in, they stripe for both HS Football and Soccer lines since, in most cases, its the same stadium that serves both teams. They just aren't big enough for the extra space needed for MLS. Heck, most of our college stadiums aren't either. I mean you couldn't fit MLS at OU or OSU.

They use the "temporary" paint here then. Basically, think of it like chalk. They can restripe the whole thing without damaging the turf. Because you can look at pics at various different points and you'll see soccer only or football only lines. That was something i think we even discussed earlier in this thread when Energy proposed that. I believe i voiced a dislike of that, again, because of it not directly benefiting the district. When Energy leaves, hopefully they pay for permanent lines to be done. That way OKCPS isn't stuck paying for maintenance on something they shouldn't really be having to do. But i bet they won't.
